January’s new Breakers of Shadow booster set will make a huge impact on the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, and a lot of powerful cards from 2015 get even better! Here are some highlights from Clash of Rebellions that you’ll want to get your hands on since they’ll help you make the most of the new cards.

The new Kozmo cards are going to be huge, especially Kozmo Farmgirl! Farmgirl’s a Level 3 Psychic-Type, so you can Normal Summon her from your hand or Special Summon her straight from your Deck with Emergency Teleport. She packs a solid 1,500 ATK, and whenever she deals Battle Damage to your opponent, you can pay 500 LP to search your Deck for a “Kozmo” card. Nab a high-level Kozmo like Kozmo Dark Destroyer or Kozmo Forerunner, and you can banish Kozmo Farmgirl to Special Summon your spaceship of choice and make another attack.

Brilliant Fusion might look like Gem-Knight support, but it’s seen a ton of play in all sorts of strategies in 2015! When you activate it, you Fusion Summon a Gem-Knight monster from your Extra Deck using Fusion Materials from your Main Deck, instead of your field or hand. That’s awesome because lots of Gem-Knight Fusion Monsters have flexible Fusion Materials, and you can use Brilliant Fusion to load your Graveyard with useful cards. Fuse for Gem-Knight Seraphinite, and you can send Performage Damage Juggler to the Graveyard, then banish it to search another Performage from your Deck. Pendulum Decks love that for making Xyz Summons, but Madolches and Tellarknights can use it too.

Archfiend Eccentrick’s another good one! Play it as a Pendulum Spell, and you can destroy it to destroy any other Spell/Trap Card on the field. Summon it instead, and you can Tribute it to destroy a monster on the field. Since Eccentrick’s a Pendulum Monster, it goes to your Extra Deck instead of your Graveyard, so you can Pendulum Summon it back and reuse it. And since it’s a Scale 7 Pendulum Spell, it can even help you make bigger Pendulum plays. It’s great with Majespecters, where it lets you Pendulum Summon Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin!

With new cards for Kozmos, Majespecters and tons of other hot strategies, Breakers of Shadow will be massive for some of the game’s biggest Decks!
