Manga Schools You'd Love to Go Back To!

Going back to school can be a bummer! But what if you went to ninja school?

By Urian Brown September 06, 2016

For some, going back to school suuuuuucks! No more summer! No more lying on the floor looking up at the ceiling determining the exact manner in which you should waste your day. Well, what if you could go back to a school in an SJ Manga? You can’t! Not really, but it’s kinda fun to think about. Here are some schools we think you’d love to go back to.

U.A. High School
My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia

Imagine going to school and instead of sitting at your desk doing math problems, you got to beat up giant robots! Or fight the other students…but with fantastic powers called Quirks. That’s exactly what happens at U.A. Academy, where they train the next generation of officially licensed superheroes. But it’s not all fun and games, well there is a lot of that, but this academy is a pressure cooker as the students must compete against each other in all manner of contests. Heck, just getting in is incredibly hard and many are denied. But if you have a good Quirk, or a decent Quirk and a lot of brains, you might have what it takes to be a hero...officially.

Coolest Teacher: All Might
The strongest superhero in the world and a shining beacon of hope for mankind! Plus, he's really nice and supportive!

All Might

Scariest Teacher: Shota Aizawa--Eraser Head
His Quirk can take away yours just by looking at it! He's strict! And he's known for expelling students. Lots of them!

Assassination Class

Sometimes you may want to kill your teacher when they announce a pop quiz or unload a dump truck load of homework on you, but what if you were SUPPOSED to kill your teacher? What if the world depended on it? And your teacher is more than willing to help you! Even giving you pointers and words of encouragement! That’s the setup in Assassination Classroom and that’s what makes Class 3-E so fun! They’re considered the flunkies of the school, but all that changes when an octopus-like creature with incredible powers becomes their teacher and says he’ll destroy the world if they can’t kill him by the end of the year. But killing Koro Sensei is no easy feat! He can move at speeds of Mach 20 and has a wide array of defensive mechanisms. Many involving slime. But Koro Sensei’s most powerful weapon is his love for his students. And while they try to murder him, they learn a valuable lesson or two along the way.

Coolest Teacher: Koro Sensei
He really does love his students. He'll do anything to help them succeed, even endanger his own life!

Koro Sense Nice

Scariest Teacher: Koro Sensei

If you get caught cheating in school, you’re in big trouble right? But what if cheating is actually part of the test. Not just cheating, but cheating with ninja powers! One of the main principles of the shinobi lifestyle is being sneaky. Part of the strength of the ninja is their ability to use trickery to achieve their objectives. And in one the first stages of the Chunin Exam, Naruto, and his classmates must figure out how to cheat while several instructors are watching them. Only the sneakiest of the sneakiest can pass this exam! Oh, another reason why going to this school is awesome is…it’s a school for ninja!!! That’s automatically awesome! Ninja school!

And the place to do that is the beautiful True Cross Academy. Here you can learn the basics of exorcism and eventually specialize in your own field. You could be a Tamer and summon demons to help you fight. Or an Aria, who recites holy scriptures and chants to exorcise demons. Or a Knight and fight with specialized swords. This is just a few of the choices available to you as a student. At first, you’ll be Page, but if you work hard you may eventually become an Exwire and even the Paladin! The sky's the limit! Then again, you might get killed along the way by a demon. But it would still be a cool place to go to school.
