Meet the Graydles, a group of amorphous alien goo monsters that can get into the brains of enemy monsters, taking control of them!

A couple weeks back we talked about the new Kaiju in Dimension of Chaos, huge monsters that can be Summoned to both sides of the field to battle it out for supremacy! Dimension of Chaos also introduces the Graydles, an unearthly group of amorphous alien goo monsters that can take any form and get into the brains of enemy monsters, taking control of them! What do these things have to do with each other? You can pair Graydle and Kaiju monsters together to eliminate your opponent’s best monsters without giving them anything in return!

Ygo Graydle 1

Graydle Cobra, Graydle Eagle and Graydle Alligator can all equip themselves to a monster when they’re destroyed in battle. While they’re equipped to that monster, they infest its brain and gain control over that monster. Getting rid of them while they’re in this state will also destroy the monster they’re equipped to, so you never have to give control of a stolen monster back to your opponent. Your opponent might think they’re vulnerable to being destroyed by card effects instead of battle, but each one will also respond to a secondary type of destruction by stealing away a monster!

Ygo Graydle 2Combining these cards with the Kaiju monsters will ensure that your opponent can’t prevent themselves from losing their monsters. Either the Graydles will steal them or the Kaiju will eat them, and then Graydles will gain mind control over the Kaiju. When all is said and done, you’re going to have the biggest monster on the field!

Both of these strategies also benefit from being really easy to put together. The Graydle Impact Spell Card lets you add a new “Graydle” card from your Deck to your hand every turn and can also destroy your Graydle cards to destroy enemy cards. Kyoutou Waterfront builds up Kaiju Counters while you do that, which you can cash in to search for your Kaiju monsters. The combination of the two makes this a very easy to assemble hybrid strategy!

This is just one of many Deck theme combinations that are possible with Dimension of Chaos ! Try out multiple new themes together or try combining newer themes with older themes. There are a lot of cool new strategies to discover!
