STEREOPONY's coming and we've got the details on their U.S. tour!
By April 05, 2012

STEREOPONY, an all-girl Japanese rock band from Okinawa, will be attending Sakura-Con 2012! STEREOPONY is no stranger to performing in the U.S. In March 2009, the girls performed in SXSW 2009, and received a thunderous ovation. And now they're ready to rock this year's Sakura-Con!

STEREOPONY is best known to anime fans for their debut single "Hitohira No Hanabira," which was the 17th ending theme song for the Bleach anime. Released on November 5, 2008, the song ranked #25 on the Oricon Weekly Charts. Their second single, "Namida No Muko,” was the second opening theme song for the second season of the Sunrise series Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and reached #2 on the Oricon charts. They have also done theme songs for other anime series including Darker than Black and Tegami Bachi: REVERSE. STEREOPONY has released two chart-topping studio albums—A Hydrangea Blooms and Over the Border.

STEREOPONY consists of AIMI (vocal/guitar), NOHANA (bass), and SHIHO (drums). The band gained their first opportunity on the Japanese rock radio program “SCHOOL OF LOCK!”
