The latest volume of Nisekoi is out! Most of us familiar with the storyline pretty much know what to expect, but Naoshi Komi Sensei throws us for a loop in the latest release! At some point or another, every character in Nisekoi finds themselves in a pickle. Most of the issues, from Haru's "prince" who rescued her to Tsugumi's gender-bender confusion, stem from some kind of misunderstanding (or in Raku's case, complete oblivion). 

But this time around, it's a bit different. The person in question is none other than Raku's best-pal Shu! However, Shu's a pretty sharp cat, so how in tarnation does such an insightful character find himself in a jam?! One word...love!

And would you expect any other reaction from Raku, the world's most clueless authority on love? And just who is the lucky lass that ignited the flames of passion in Shu? Meanwhile, Komi Sensei throws us another wrench when beloved homeroom teacher Kyoko makes a grand announcement.

I ain't no mathematician, but I can certainly put two and two together... Now that's a dilemma I'd like to see the clever Shu worm his way out of, and from my vantage point, there seems to be no workable path to take.

After Shu navigates himself (with the help of Raku) out of his one-sided love, another pickle is being added to the jar. As we all know, Raku's memory isn't exactly the most reliable out there. So when Chitoge EXPECTS him to remember her birthday, well...the following ensues.

And things just keep getting worse and worse between the two as Chitoge tries to get Raku to remember, but he just can't quite pick up on the hints (and punches) she keeps giving him. A whole school day passes, and Chitoge's on the verge of exploding, when an errant baseball is beelining straight to a grumbling Chitoge.

Raku gallantly pushes Chitoge out of the way, but in the process, he gets a good knock on the noggin. If anything, Raku's quite the sturdy chap, able to take multiple blows from all the girls around him and still function. But this time, the baseball did more than just knock him down...it took his whole memory out!

Now the whole gang needs to figure out a way to help restore Raku's memory. But then again, this new Raku without his memories is still quite the charmer. In fact, I'm not even sure they want him to change back...
