Everyone loves Raku! Well, that is everyone of the female gender who currently attends Bonyari High School. And somehow, some way, we all still feel sorry for the guy. Not because he has a whole gang of hot girls that are crushing on him, but because that whole gang of hot girls sometimes literally crush him! Bumps and bruises aside, Raku hasn't had any issues getting along with the opposite sex, but all that changes with the release of Nisekoi volume 9!

Haru Onodera is about as clueless as you can get about boys since she attended an all-girls junior high, but now she's enrolled at her sister's school—Bonyari High! And rumors have it that a playboy thug, aka Raku, is playing her older sister Kosaki and the other girls at school.

Despite her own insecurities about boys, Haru is determined to protect her innocent older sister from the clutches of Raku, the insiduous playboy gangster. And poor Raku keeps finding himself in super awkward moments with Haru, further complicating Haru's misunderstanding of the situation at hand.

Dude in Distress

Finally, there is a girl in school who hates Raku! All dudes rejoice! And it just keeps getting worse for Raku when he finds out he's lost his precious pendant. The good news is someone found his pendant. The bad news...well, that someone just so happens to be Haru, who believes her mysterious prince in shining armor, who came to her rescue on her first day of school, is the owner of the item. Haru's not wrong about the owner, but she has no idea that Raku is her savior!

As time goes on, Raku somehow finds himself hanging out more and more with Haru! The two of them actually have a lot in common, including their love of Japanese sweets and Kosaki, and in unguarded moments, they get along great!

But of course, Nisekoi wouldn't be Nisekoi if there weren't massive screw-ups and misunderstandings that lead to Raku beatdowns. And Raku needs to tread carefully, especially if he ever hopes to get his pendant back!

This is just one hilarious storyline in a volume chock full of comedic hijinks! Can Raku ever get along with his loved one's little sis? And can he convince said little sis in giving him the pendant?!
