Premium Gold: Infinite Gold has finally been unveiled, and Duelists just can't stop talking about it! And why should they? It's shaping up to be the best Premium Gold yet, whether you're looking for cool new cards or just trying to get your hands on blinged out versions of some of Dueling's finest!

Of all the new cards in Infinite Gold, the one that's gotten the most attention is Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal. You may not be able to tell just by looking at her, but she's the new key card for Burning Abyss Decks! You can Xyz Summon her by sending a "Burning Abyss" monster from your hand to the Graveyard and using a "Dante" monster you control as Xyz Material. That's almost always going to be Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss, which makes Beatrice a turbocharged version of the Downerd Magicians that Burning Abyss Duelists already use.

Unlike Downerd Magician, Beatrice has a fixed 2500 ATK and multiple abilities that directly contribute to the Burning Abyss strategy! During either player's turn, except during the turn you Summon her, you can detach an Xyz Material from Beatrice to send any card in your Deck to the Graveyard. All of the basic "Burning Abyss" monsters do something good when they go to the Graveyard, so instead of randomly sending cards with Dante, Beatrice lets you pick and choose the effect you want at any given time! And if your opponent manages to destroy her, Beatrice can call up any Burning Abyss monster from your Extra Deck to take her place! Virgil, Rockstar of the Burning Abyss and Dante, Pilgrim of the Burning Abyss can be Summoned without having to Synchro Summon or Fusion Summon them, making Burning Abyss more dangerous than ever.

Of course, you still have the same issue that Downerd Magician had due to her name. Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal is not a “Burning Abyss” monster and your Malebranche can’t coexist with her. But not to worry, because Fiendish Rhino Warrior from Breakers of Shadow can make your Malebranche immune to their own effects, letting you continue to do as you please even while Beatrice is on the field!
