Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is the monster you’ll see on every booster pack of Shining Victories, but what you might not realize is that you’ll be seeing it on a lot of tables as well since this powerhouse Synchro Monster is easier to Summon than you think!

Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon has the same stats as Blue-Eyes White Dragon and a pair of killer effects to go with them. Once per turn during either player’s turn, you can negate the activation of any monster’s effect and destroy it. Destroying a monster this way also boosts Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon’s ATK by the ATK of the destroyed monster for the rest of the turn! In addition, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon will win any battle with a Level 5 or higher monster because it gains ATK equal to the ATK of any Level 5 or higher monster it battles during damage calculation.

However, there is a tricky part with the Synchro Material requirements for Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon. It’s Level 8 and requires one Tuner with one or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters. In general, that’ll probably be a Level 1 or 2 Tuner with a Level 7 or 6 Synchro Monster. Fortunately, there are a number of currently strong Decks that can fill these requirements with ease!

A Blue-Eyes White Dragon Deck can easily Summon Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon thanks to Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon. If you can Summon two Level 1 Tuner monsters and a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, which is easy thanks to Mausoleum of White and Maiden with Eyes of Blue, you can Synchro Summon Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, Tribute it to Summon a Level 7 Synchro Monster with a good effect, then Synchro Summon Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon. You can also Summon it easily in Decks that use the Speedroid cards. If you have a hand of Speedroid Terrortop and Speedroid Takteomborg or Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice, you can Special Summon Terrortop, add whichever of the other two cards you don’t have to your hand, Special Summon Takteomborg and Normal Summon Red-Eyed Dice. Use Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice to change Terrortop’s Level to 6 and Synchro Summon Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Then, Tribute Taketomborg to Summon another Red-Eyed Dice and Synchro Summon Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!

Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is enormously powerful, especially when paired with other massive monsters liked Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy or even the original Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.
