Sweet! A Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign cover! The art in this series has been superb from the very beginning. In some manga, if you look back at the oldest volumes the art looks a little rough compared to the newer ones. But Seraph has been a real beauty from page one! Maybe it's the three-man team? Maybe Yamato Yamamoto is just that good? Whatever the magic formula is--it works!

Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign
story by Takaya Kagami, art by Yamato Yamamoto, storyboards by Daisuke Furuya

There are many kinds of manga chapters. Chapters filled with lots of fighting. Chapters where characters make big speeches about their feelings. Chapters where a great many important things are explained. And then there are my favorite kind of chapters--the pick your jaw up off the ground because so many crazy things happened. This is one of those!

Seraph

One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda

So far, the new island the Straw Hats have found themselves on has been quite interesting! And delicious! But in this chapter, they find out more about the history of their longtime companion, Sanji. How could they have known him for so long, but known so little about him? Some secrets are kept for a very good reason! Get ready to see Sanji in a whole new light!

Bleach
by Tite Kubo

When Kubo Sensei goes all out in his battle art, he really reaches heights few mangaka can. It's pure poetry. Great sweeping strokes that cross entire pages. Splashes of ink that look like mighty waves about to crash on shore in a raging tempest. Extreme angles and perspectives that make you tilt your head and go, "Wow, that is amazing." He truly has some of the most artistic battle art in the business. Such power!

Bleach

Nisekoi
by Naoshi Komi

I'm getting the chills! The story seems to be heading for a major showdown between Raku and the two girls who occupy his heart. And so much of the details of their youth are revealed in this chapter, you'll wanna read it twice to make sure you get everything. Plus you get to see the characters as kids! Spoiler: They're cute!

Hunter x Hunter
by Yoshihiro Togashi

Another astounding chapter! This is a really good issue all around, actually. The fight between Hisoka and Chrollo has been really one-sided. Chrollo is kicking the hearts, diamonds, and spades out of Hisoka. And the whole battle was Hisoka's idea! Will my second favorite character (after Biscuit) be able to turn it around?

Hunterx Hunter

Boruto: Naruto Next Generation
creator/supervisor Masashi Kishimoto, art by Mikio Ikemoto, script by Ukyo Kodachi

Confession: I've never read the comic book/manga version of a movie. Except Jack Kirby's 2001, which is not remotely like the movie. So reading the manga version of the Boruto movie has been really fun. It's cool to see the same scenes, but in comic form. It's the reverse of what I normally do, which is read the manga, then watch the anime. I can't wait to see what happens when we get to the story that's beyond the movie!

Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro

In the last chapter, God, the giant frog, shot his tongue out and it went all the way around the world and hit himself in the back. In like, a second. Nothing like that happens in this chapter, I just wanted to call attention to the fact that something that crazy recently happened in this manga. And that's why I love it so much. Toriko brings the crazy! And this chapter continues that trend as Toriko faces Neo! Who's hungrier?

Toriko

World Trigger
by Daisuke Ashihara

The Rank Wars are over! Well, at least the current one. And Team Osamu did pretty dang good. Now it's time for the commentators to dissect their effective strategy. In-depth battle review coming up!

Food Wars
story by Yuto Tsukuda, art by Shun Saeki, contributor Yuki Morisaki

After a heart-to-heart discussion with Erina, Soma has decided to cook something for her. But what will it be? He cooked for her in the very beginning of the manga, and now he's raring to show her his true ability. Will her divine tongue find fault in his food?

Food Wars

My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi

The big showdown his here! All Might versus All For One! Both are inspirations to their followers. Both have incredible Quirks that dwarf other heroes and villains. And both have a serious grudge against each other. It all comes down to this chapter! Will justice prevail over evil?!

Black Clover
by Yûki Tabata

The Eye of the Midnight Sun has unleashed a powerful magic attack that has the Black Bull Knights on the ropes! Everyone is rushing to battle, but the element of surprise is definitely on the bad guys' side. And their leader is not only insanely powerful, he's totally demented! The fight for the magic stone continues!

Black Clover
