1012 Issue Review 1Cover
art by Kohei Horikoshi

I love the color art for My Hero Academia, so it should come as no surprise that this week's cover has me in a tizzy. And the great thing about Horikoshi Sensei's art is that the styles vary so much, from Western comic book-esque covers to playful ones like this! And it's a stroke of genius to use finger puppets. Means he can cram in a bunch of characters we've all come to love. And for me, the fact that Mineta is there makes it extra special!

My Hero Academia
by Kohei Horikoshi

The popularity poll results are in...for both Japan and the English-language Shonen Jump! Pretty interesting to see the similarities (Deku!!!) and differences (pretty much everyone else!) between the two. My lone gripe...why is Mineta in the teens for both polls?! Anyhoo, this week's chapter is a doozy, giving us a more in-depth perspective into Deku's relationship with Bakugo by looking back into their past.

1012 Issue Review 3

Bleach
by Tite Kubo

It's Captain General Shunsui Kyoraku versus the Quincy Lille Barro! The captain general is certainly nothing to sneeze at, so the fact that Lille is holding his ground is quite impressive. So far, I'm really digging this battle, especially the twist on children's games that would make classic Yugi smile.
