Cover

Sweet! A big, bright and cheery multi-character cover! Feels like a party with all these characters. If I'm looking straight at the cover, it looks like Naruto, Chitoge and Toriko are smiling at me. But if I move the cover to my right, it looks like Luffy, Ichigo, Jig and Yuma are looking at me. Then I like to keep moving it back and forth, so they're all looking at me. Then my coworkers ask me what I'm doing and I stop.

Naruto
by Masashi Kishimoto
Few mangaka draw color spreads as cool as Kishimoto Sensei. And this is one of his best ones. It looks like something you'd find deep in the pages of a scholarly tome on ancient Asian mysticism. And it sets up the chapter perfectly as Naruto continues his conversation with the legendary Sage of the Six Paths. This manga's getting really profound!

Stealth Symphony
story by Ryohgo Narita, art by Yoichi Amano
Jig's first assignment is not going the way he planned! It all seemed okay until he found out the hostages he's supposed to rescue are being guarded by his friend Troma. Although the battle's just begun, it's already out of control with ninja, cyborgs, and now a vampire! There's no way Jig saw this puzzling predicament coming! (I tried to make a "jigsaw puzzle" pun, but I don't think it really worked. My apologies. - U.B.)

One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda
In a long-running manga such as One Piece, there are events that stand out and everybody remembers them. This chapter, as well as the end of last week's chapter, will go down in One Piece history and be talked about for years. For spoiler's sake, I'm not going to describe what happens, but you'll want to spend extra time reading it, because there's so much crammed into each panel.

World Trigger
by Daisuke Ashihara
Just when it looked like the new horned Neighbors turned the tide of battle, Border shows it's got a few tricks up its sleeves. A few tricks in the form of new agents armed with experimental Triggers! Still, the fight's far from over!

Bleach
by Tite Kubo
Kenpachi continues his fight against Gremmy, the Stern Ritter with the power to make anything he imagines real! For most Soul Reapers this would be intimidating, but it's got Kenpachi all revved up! And a revved up Kenpachi's a sight to behold!

One-Punch Man
story by ONE, art by Yusuke Murata
Someone is finally giving Saitama some grief! After being disappointed by every single foe he's fought so far, it looks like Lord Boros is able to actually able to not only land a blow, but keep Saitama moving. Will this finally (x 10) be the fight Saitama's been looking for?!

Nisekoi
by Naoshi Komi
Raku's got appendicitis! He's laid up in the hospital, but will he be able to get any rest with his kooky group of crazy friends? And if he gets out, will their antics put him right back? Find out in one of the most gut-wrenching (heh-heh) chapters of Nisekoi yet!

All You Need is Kill
story by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, storyboards by Ryosuke Takeuchi, character designs by Yoshitoshi ABe, art by Takeshi Obata
We've seen how Keiji and Rita met from Keiji's perspective, but this chapter turns it around and let's us see it from Rita's perspective. Its not often you get to see the same thing from a different character's perspective in a manga, so this is kind of a treat. Especially with how well it's done.

Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro
Just as the Four Gourmet Kings are about to set out to the Gourmet World, Chichi surprises them with one heckuva ride! And one that will help them survive the most inhospitable place on the planet. But before they leave, some old friends show up to see them off!

Blue Exorcist
by Kazue Kato
Has there ever been a grosser, grubbier villain worse than Professor Gedoin? I've seen about a zillion bad guys in manga, but this dude gives me the creepy creepers. I've got to hand it to Kato Sensei for creating such a effectively repulsive character. Can't wait for Rin or anyone else to kick the Prof's butt and put an end to his sadistic shenanigans.

Special Bonus Story Dragon Ball Minus
by Akira Toriyama
Find out what happened to baby Goku before he came to earth! And learn the fate of his parents, before the original adventure began. I have to say, this is something I never thought I'd get to read. It's a brief, but most interesting look at the events that started it all. Dragon Ball aficionados, this one's for you!

Extras: Naruto Shippuden DVD Set 18 Feature, History of Goku feature, Author Comments.
