To-Get List: Number 62!

On the front of every Primal Origin booster pack is the feared Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon!

The monster you see on the front of every Primal Origin booster pack is none other than the Rank 8 Xyz Monster, Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon! With 4000 ATK and the ability to gain another 1600 or more ATK during either player’s turn, Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon can outmuscle just about anything.

Number 62 is Summoned using any two Level 8 monsters, giving it a leg up over Number 22: Zombiestein and Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. While those monsters have 4500 ATK, one requires DARK Xyz Materials and the other requires three Xyz Materials, so when you’re looking for the strongest monster with the least stringent requirements, Number 62 is the go-to choice. But if you want to play it in a Deck with more of Kite’s cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, it gets even stronger!

Normally, all damage inflicted by Number 62 is halved to make up for the fact that it can take down basically anything. But if Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon is one of its Xyz Materials, it doles out full damage instead! Plus, if Number 62 is destroyed by an opponent’s card effect while it has Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as an Xyz Material, it’ll come back to your side of the field on your second Standby Phase after it was destroyed with 8000 ATK!

Another cool thing you can do with Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon is Summon it to bypass your opponent’s monster effect-negating cards. Nothing beats Decks based around cards like Skill Drain quite like a 4000 ATK monster that doesn’t need its effects to win. In fact, negating Number 62’s effects will help you, because it negates the effect that makes it deal only half damage!

If your Deck uses a lot of Level 8 monsters, or you’re playing with Kite’s “Galaxy” and “Photon” cards, you’ve got to give Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon a try! Now available in Primal Origin!
