UPDATE REGARDING SLIFER

There has been a slight hold-up with the mailing of the cards. They are set to go out on August 27. Expect to receive your cards at the earliest by end of next week, but most everyone should be receiving it sometime around beginning of September.

We have just received word that Slifer the Sky Dragon was sent out today (August 27, 2012), so expect to receive your cards soon!

First batch of promo cards will be sent out around May. You should be receiving those sometime around May-June.

If you transferred over your subscription from print, or if you're a yearly ALPHA member, you will get cards. As for SLIFER, nothing's been announced about that card. So far, the only confirmed ALPHA card is SHOCK MASTER.

You don't!...yet. Again, the only announced ALPHA card is SHOCK MASTER. Nothing has been announced with regards to SLIFER.

You will get SHOCK MASTER. That card should be arriving in your mailbox sometime May/June. But be sure you have your mailing address inputted in your VIZ MANGA account. To check if your address is inputted, just follow the instructions here: http://www.sjalpha.com/node/206.

You need to get in touch with our print magazine customer service at 1-800-541-7919. Hopefully they can help you there.

And if not, then I'd try writing in to sjalpha@viz.com.

ACID GOLEM is the last promo card in the April 2012 issue of SHONEN JUMP. ALPHA members will also get promo cards, but not that one. The first ALPHA promo is NUMBER 16: SHOCK MASTER.

If you are a member of ALPHA, you can read the manga at vizmanga.com/sj-weekly. Or simply click on the "READ NOW" links at the top of the home page.

As for promos, you will receive those in the mail if you either A) transferred your print subscription to ALPHA, or B) signed up for an annual membership at vizmanga.com/sj-weekly. Thanks!

In the Search this site bar just search Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha and if you have this weeks manga then you've subscribed. About the cards, go to your name page and see if it has your shipping details. If not, then you can google how to change it (I forgot how).

The 2-card promo for that time period is actually SHOOTING QUASAR DRAGON and SEPHYLON, THE ULTIMATE TIME LORD. Your best bet is to just write in to sjalpha@viz.com. Let them know your issue, your name and mailing address so that they can take care of you.

I am hoping that SJ will give out more machine types. I'd love to get a Clockwork Shinigami, or maybe Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Killer. Also, I have a good feeling that SJ will release a Slifer the Sky Dragon Card (no promises).

Good suggestions. When choosing a promo card for SJ, I've been putting up polls on pojo to help us decide. Of course we have other resources to consider when choosing cards, but usually the polls are very helpful in gauging what the fans want. However, I think this next time around, we'll conduct a poll of our own on this site. Thanks!

My subscription is suppose to end in August so i transferred it to sj alpha. I saw many people asked this before but i didn't see anyone answer. Sorry if i skipped it but will i be receiving a promo card when it comes out or will i not be qualified for it due to the annual subscription term? please let me know, Thank you.

You will recieve ALPHA promo cards for the duration of your membership to SJ ALPHA. For example, if you have a six-month membership, then you will receive all cards that are released during that time period (most likely 2 or 3). If you have a one-year membership, then you will definitely get 4 cards.
