What I think about alpha
I don't care for it being online. I read the chapters when they come out online anyway. I liked when the magazine would come in the mail which I looked forward to every month. When it would come in the mail and I would reread the chapters I would notice things I didn't see before. I liked it better when it would come in the magazine because I would remember the chapter if I read it in real book form. I also liked having them in book form incase I wanted to reread chapters in the future and I would have them in my room ready to be reread. It was nice when they would come with Naruto or One Piece posters (which everyone would get not just one person because it would be very unlikely to get it) they would make me smile when I looked at my walls. With this I check every couple months and I don't even remember my password and username when I want to check it out
I KNOW!
THIS SUCKS!
And no cards for subscribing...
My god, i am so angry right now. / . V .\

I agree, for the most part
I agree, I love the print form(it smells good. I know, I'm weird) but having it online will be easier for SJ and this way we can all talk about the manga and point things out to each other.
Print Magazine
This customer service has been a dissappointment.
I paid for a yearly subscription back in December and SJ said that I would be receiving the February, March and April 2012 issues. I have not received the April Issue and the company said I would be receiving it as the Final Print Issue and I would then be getting SJ Alpha.
SJ Alpha isn't as good as they Print version.
Overall, I am very dissappointed With SJ Alpha and the SJ customer service.
I also liked it when I
I also liked it when I received the print copy of the magazine. I really didn't want it to go online. I wonder why they did that. You don't always have the computer or iPod and stuff when you want to read it. And if you like to copy one of the scenes onto another sheet of paper it would be have when looking on the computer and stuff.
i feel u have them give u a
i feel u have them give u a proud feeling when displaying ur dedication and ur conviction i would press my mom out for my issue every month
BRING BACK THE PRINT MAGAZINE
IT WAS BETTER IN PRINT , IT WAS FUNNIER AND WE WERE ABLE TO READ IT OVER AND OVER.
So true
that is so true, and what about us who not aloud to shop online.my mom would kill me if i brought some thing online.
Exactly
I know how you feel bro. I say the same thing. :D
I Wish I Could Actually Join
I hate the fact that transferring your old print subscription to Alpha is so hard. I was sent an email that would contain a link that would let me change over, but it STILL hasn't arrived - it's been, like, a full 24 hours already!
Write to sjalpha@viz.com.

Truthfully...
I don't like it one bit... I miss the print magazine, I actually spend less time with SJ now since you made this change and sadly I will not be continuing my subscription when it expires...
Sigh...
I don't like this online manga one bit. It doesn't feel as real, or as personal. I loved being able to sit down in my favorite chair with my newest issue of Shonen Jump and read it cover to cover, and then flip the pages back and do it again. The feeling of typing on the keyboard is not a good substitute for the feeling of the pages slipping through my fingers. And that joyful sound tearing through that clear plastic to retrieve what I had waited so patiently for is now replaced with... "click, click, click." I'm sad to say that once this Shonen Jump Alpha subscription runs out, I will not be renewing it. I'd much rather just save my money for manga I can hold in my hands and keep on my shelves. Goodbye glory days of Shonen Jump. I'll miss you so...
SJalpha
Please go back to the print issues I liked it so much better I was a subscriber for 3 years to Shonen Jump magazine now that its online only I don't like it as well. I looked forward to getting the new issue every month it was kind of like Christmas day once a month.
Print was better
To me the print will always be better. It had more of an authentic feel. Though sjalpha is fine for portable devices, I'd trade trying to enjoy manga on a tiny screen for someone stealing yugioh cards out of the print issues anyday. They should add more series and put actual articles in the actual sjalpha issues so it's more like the print though.
Acct number
How do u do the acct number
Accnt Number Answer?
If you look at the login information, they let you put in your address and name. If you do that you should get your SJ subscription validated online. It's much easier then trying to find your account number. That's all I have to offer.
That One Piece figure is epic
I really want it
relax be positive
I liked being able to read the book form too but you know it may be good give it a shot lets see how t goes and then render judgement
Hasn't Worked Yet - Want My $$ back!
Every time I think I have everything signed up and my subscription converted and in order and try to get to the digital weekly, it throws me back to sign-up. I'm about done here. I've paid for subscriptions for the past 3 years but forget this. I'll read the books when they get them at the library for free. The way things are going here I'll never see it online here anyway. Very disappointing.

Solution
They should have the print version and online version for people.
That way everyone is happy.

WE WANT THE PRINT VERSION BACK!!!!
I totally agree. THE PRINT VERSION WAS A LOT BETTER!!!!! i always looked forward to it coming every month and I could reread it. And now with it online, I don't read it that much. I think that they should go back to the print version cause I can't concentrate online.and usually end up listening to music and not reading. After my subscription ends..... I don't think I am going to renew it
Whose Devil Fruits?

I had the same problem. You

choices
Guys I don't like the idea of SJ on the internet anymore than you guys do. But you've got to decide which angle you're going to take the idea of SJ Alpha at. You can see it as a bad idea and voice your opinion on how bad everything is, which, really, won't do you any favors or change anything. Or you can think that even though you don't get the good feeling of running the smooth paper through your fingertips, you still get over double times the manga. The truth is, you decide how to perceive this new change in the way SJ is read. But one piece of advice; whining never gets you anywhere
ya well
ya bitching about wont help, but i bet when they lose my money and go elts weres it might hurt there wallets.
hear where your coming from
i id like it better in magazine form for rereads and all but this saves them alot more mone because all the paper they use to do magazines is ALOT of money
Print version
I like the print manga WAYYY BETTER!!! Bring it back plzzzzzz D:
Customer service suck
I have a problem try to transfer from print subscription to here. took me a while to get it done. then this said I am not a member. I have other family member who had print subscription, but can't switch over because they don't send it to the email. we send emails but got no respond, trying to contact them, but have no phone number. Call the shonen jump, they said they can't help with Alpha and can't transfer over. I'm ok with the digital manga and subscription online and all. But can shonen jump alpha AT LEAST DO IT JOB PROPERLY!!! I like the old shonen jump better because they offer help when you need them. with Alpha I stuck and can't get anything done.
If any one know how to contact SNALPHA. except by email, please let me know. Thank you
Was the customer service
Was the customer service email you tried writing to sjalpha@viz.com?
Online
There should be an option for an online or hard copy edition. I only have satellite or dial up internet connection....so...there ya go. It takes FOREVER to load anything and by the time I have the edition loaded...the next one has already come out! This was a very big disappointment! I enjoy the Manga and would like to continue to be able to access it....IN MAGAZINE FORM!!! It is great to be able to carry the magazine with you to places where there is no internet connection (and yes...there are such places in the world).
Doesn't like digital
I know that shonen jump thinks its efficient to make shonen digital because then they don't have to pay for the paper, shipping fees, packaging, etc... But I only have a kindle fire to read it on and there's no app for the kindle fire. Plus I'm one of those weirdos who would pay a little extra just to have it in a non digital form. But I guess others would want it digital so why can't they have it digital and paper?
This sucks
THIS SUCKS i want my manga to come in the mail again, I mostly read bleach & naruto iny ways so if thay'er not gunna give me my shonen jump manga in the mail iny more then ill just go out and look for the bleach & naruto manga, sints i read thoss iny ways pluse it dusent say iny thing about this being for windows 7 whitch is what i have so screw it, When my time is up ill just unsub and buy my manga in stores like barnes & nobles thats where i get my pokemon manga from maybe thay have bleach and naruto.
oh yeah i forgot about psyren or psiren or howerev it was spelled, yeah i read that to.
Really?
Did you really say "pls" instead of "please" on the survey? That's a shame. I automatically stopped when I saw that.
Why?
Online SJ just doesn't even make sense. SJ in the mail made me so happy, and I looked so forward to it each day. Even though I rarely play Yu-Gi-Oh anymore, I still love the new cards. Now I don't even have the motivation to log on and try to find the new issue. It's been such a hassle, and I'm so disappointed. Dropping SJ soon as they ask me to renew. Garbage.
Then clearly you have no
Then clearly you have no actual care for the manga itself, so then that's fine lol.
My two cents
i do still love jump, i love the fact that it is weekly now, i understand the cost benefits to the company by making it an online weekly thing than a print monthly thing. my only concern is... the weekly jumps have a "delete" date. the date when i will no longer be able to go back and re-read that issue. that... well that is just plain theft. you are taking something i PAID for and never returning it. how is that fair? answer, its not, not in the least. also the fact that i can not save the pages from jump is bull... once again, i paid for it, why should i not be able to save and print it? you have your money so what is the harm? i understand there might be some issues with some people doing some things with their jump in print form, but once more, they PAID for it, it is their property to do with as they please. more or less, my annoyance is with the delete date on my issues of jump, i am a collector, so i wish to be able to keep all my issues of jump, but with that delete date, that is not possible.. an once more, by having said delete date on the issues, you are stealing from all your costumers, which is very illegal. before someone tries to argue with me on this one, theft is the act of taking something from someone with no intention of returning it to the owner. in this case, jump will be stealing from us, the costumers, by deleting the issues of the weekly SJalpha that we already paid for, with, as far as i can tell, no intention of ever returning said issues to us. well, thats it for my two cents, thanks for reading.
You get what you paid for
EmporerX, when you bought this subscription for Shonen Jump Alpha you agreed that you would pay for this version of Shonen Jump. SJA never said that we could keep the issues forever and thus, they are not comitting theft because you agreed to pay for it under their conditions. So you got what you paid for nothing more, nothing less.
Re issues being deleted
I see where EmperorX is coming from; I don't like the idea of something being gone after a year. I was raised on print media and I still have bookshelves full of manga trades. In fact, I have saved every issue of SJ since the beginning. I still pull out the old issues and browse through them sometimes. It's hard enough that I'm going to need an electronic device to read manga now.
I understand that financial and environmental factors have prompted this change to a digital format, and I predict that almost all new media will be transferring to digital/Web form. But why, SJ, are you planning to remove the media after a specified time? It's not like the issues can't be archived. I'm not sure I want to pay the price you're asking for a "rental" of manga. Could someone at SJ explain to us why they made this decision?
I always inter
I always inter these surveies but I never win lol! I wish I knew the way people do win the prizes that would help us who dont win know what we are doing wrong.
Shonen jump Alpha good and bad
I never got my last print issue. I called SJ and they said they would send it. I still haven't got it >:(
that aside I was pretty disappointed for the magazine to go online but SJ alpha has its good things as well.
One problem for me though is that shonen jump alpha is not 2 weeks behind like they said. Its so much more. Im pretty disappointed that im actually ahead of bakuman and naruto (using manga reader) so when i get a new issue every week im actually just rereading everything.
I loved the print version but i don't hate the alpha version either so i can't really complain much.
disappointed.
i wish they would had given more warning about the switch...
i had been wanting to get a SHONEN JUMP for some time, and right after i got my first issue i learned it was turning digital. i liked the print copies much better (even though i only have 5 of them) and i find the digital really inconvenient. i will still support by buying the manga volumes and anime and such, but i don't think i will be renewing my subscription.
BRING BACK THE MAG!
I utterly agree with the people who dislike Alpha. I understand that it's more economical or whatever, but it really upsets me that I don't get the magazine, especially since I have no internet connection at my mom's house. I rarely get the chance to get online anymore, so I end up missing a lot of issues of weekly at a time. It's frustrating because I would take my SJ mags with me on road trips and read through them while in the car. Now I can't do that because I need a computer seeing as I don't have a smartphone. I have almost every single issue of the magazine at home. I liked collecting them. I swear, I was a loyal fan, but now my loyalties are iffy. BRING BACK THE MAG!
