Anyone Remember Black Cat?

I don't know if anyone else here has read (although I'm sure you have) Black Cat before, but if your anything like me I'm sure you are obsesed with it. I was sad to see no forums for this manga, it is a great story and deserves its own forum, so post away people!

I really liked the series (well, at least until volume 14 through 18...that story arc felt kinda weak, to be honest); the cast was really enjoyable, though it was sad that Sven wound up being practically brushed aside for Eve in the latter half the series. Even Kentaro Yubaki (I thnk I spelt his name correctly...it's been years, so I may be a little off) claimed that if there was a sequel, it would follow Train and Eve...no Sven...*tears*. Anyway, if you're interested, Black Cat's anime will be rereleased by Funimation at the end of May as one of their SAVE things.

Wait...what exactly are you saying? Funimation already released an anime for Black Cat. I know because I have it (It was very disappointing that it didn't follow the story of the manga).

Are they creating a new anime that follows the story of the manga, like they did with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood?

If so, PLEASE TELL ME!!!!! Black Cat is one of my all time favorites and I want to see an anime that follows the manga.

Sorry, but unfortunately not; as I typed, they are RE releasing the one they already have, just cheaper and presumably slimmer. To my knowledge, Black Cat is long since done with in Japan, the anime completed and manga moved on, and there are no plans to return to it. Granted, the mangaka did say that he would be interested in writing a sequel manga maybe at some point in the future, but thus far there's been no news.

I think Train was probably the best character because he seemed more a complete character than ones like Maro or Leon, because they were just there to complete the apostles of the stars; but over all it's a great manga!

I've got a question for you BLACK CAT fans, why does Train have donuts on his jacket?!

Well, that's obviously because donuts are delicious! (Sorry for the joke, LOL)

But seriously, the manga never gave an explanation for that.
However the anime (that didn't follow the manga storyline) explained that the "donuts" are supposed to be like the pads on a cats paw.

You can take from it what you will, but personally, I like the cat paw explanation.

Oh I remember Black Cat really awesome series. I just finished it last Thanksgiving. One of the best mangas I have ever read next to Bleach/One Piece/Naruto/Hunter X Hunter/Reborn/Rurouni Kenshin/ (I have read a lot of Viz manga)
