CARDS: YU-GI-OH! Gimme SHOCK Treatment!

 

Attention all SJ Alpha members! Your first Yu-Gi-Oh! promo card, the Xyz Monster Number 16: Shock Master, will be arriving sometime late-May to June. If you want to get some ideas on how to use this literal powerhouse to his fullest, then we invite you to read on!

Shocked Up For The Night
Getting three Level 4 Monsters out isn’t easy, but stick to your guns...er, cards! Number 16: Shock Master nixes out all Monster, Spell, or Trap effects until your next turn. If that doesn’t sound awesome, then think for a moment. Two turns without your opponent’s Traps. No Spells until your next move. All Effect Monsters momentarily de-fanged. Any of these could leave your opponent wide open, especially if he’s favoring one type. Sounds a bit more awesome now, huh?

Lightning Strike Three - You’re Out!
Remember that like most Xyz Monsters, Shock Master loses a Material monster to activate its effect. You also can’t activate it more than once per turn. Conserve your ammo for when you need it, but don’t hold back when the time comes. If you can, try to get a second (or even third!) out onto the field to cripple your opponent completely.

Backup Cards

Daybreaker
Shock Master could use a blazing knight to light the path. Daybreaker lets you Summon another of its name when Special Summoned. Combine with Photon Lead to do just that, and try to get all three into your hand for a triple sunlight smackdown!

Eradicator Epidemic Virus
Double-dip with Eradicator Epidemic Virus, offering up one 2500 DARK Monster to remove all of your opponent’s Spells or Traps for their next three turns. Feel a sneeze building?

Green, Red and Yellow Gadgets
Your hand low on Level 4 monsters? Behold the power of Gadget teamwork! Summon one colored Gadget to get another into your hand. Material, ahoy!

I just received the shock master in the mail today but it's weird that there were 2 of them in the envelope, I thought we were suppose to get 2 different ones.

I miss the print magazine because you would always get something in every magazine or now instead of every couple of months it's only 4 times a year. Oh well, I guess it's at least something.

I thought I was the only one to get the two copies of it, but it looks like I was wrong. Still confused as to why we all got two copies of it. My membership will end at the end of July, so I may not be able to get Slifer. :/

I just got my Shockmaster in the mail, but I also got a double was that a mistake or was the second one supposed to be Slifer.

no I do qualify for the ShockMaster, I've been a member since November, and I have a subscription all the way until Janurary 2013. I meant April, because I'm also missing my April issue, the final copy of shonen jump, which still hasn't arrived even after I called in.

Did you make sure that you: A. Signed up before April 20, and B. inputted your mailing address in your VIZmanga.com account profile? If so, then just be patient. It's probably on the way if you qualify.

I accidentally got two Number 16: Shock Master card's was I supposed to get another card with it instead and if by chance it was an accident then do I miss out on the other cards that come out. I also really want Slifer The Sky Dragon do I have to resubscribe to get it or did getting two copies of one card already ruin my chances.

You will get whatever cards are released during the duration of your membership. If you are a member now, you will definitely receive SLIFER.

i've purchased the 25.99 year subscription on June 7 and i'm unsure about when i'll get a card. i know slifer won't come out for a few weeks to a couple months, but what im asking about is if just purchasing the year subscription is all i have to do in order for Shonen Jump to send me the cards.

I'm just wanna ask those who received Shock Master. How was it shipped to you or was it in good condition?

Like was it shipped to you between 2 pieces of Cardboard or a sleeve or something?

Hello,

I changed my address about a week ago and I have not recived my number 16: shock master. I did a change of address at my city post office and my old house is empty so no one could have gotten the mail. Approximatley how long will it take for me to get it in the mail? Also, some of the guys at my locals recived 2 shock masters, if it is a mistake and I recieve two do I just send it back? Thank you and sorry for the inconvinience.

Ok so i've had an alpha sub since january but i still havent gotten my copies. so wtf i mean i'm already pissed that when i renewed before it went alpha that instead of sending my quasar they sent me another librarian if i dont get my shock master i'm gonna be soooooo fuckin pissed
