Thinking about becoming an SJ Alpha member? If you become a member by July 11, 2012, you'll get our next Yu-Gi-Oh! promo card—Slifer the Sky Dragon! Fans of the print SHONEN JUMP magazine have already been treated to two previous God Cards (Obelisk and Ra), and now the trilogy is complete with this release. Just like the other God cards, each Slifer the Sky Dragon has Kazuki Takahashi Sensei's printed signature!

Slifer the Sky Dragon

[Divine-Beast/Effect]
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. When a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position: That monster(s) loses 2000 ATK, then if its ATK has been reduced to 0 as a result, destroy it.

im still getting no response from sjalpha customer service regarding the fact that i have not recieved number 16 shockmaster, i sent 3 emails explaining everything including how i switched to alpha back in march, got an email saying that subscription to alpha was extended to 03/07/2014, all info regarding my mailing address is correct so im not sure what else to do here emails dont seem to be working since ive gotten no response.

I cant get a response from sjalpha as will, for some reason it seem no one can get contact with them let alone a answer for as for why I and many others has not recieved Number 16 Shockmaster. And now they talking about release The next card. I mean come...on.some of us have not recieved N :16 Shockmaster. At least please make sore everybody that sign up on time to get there copy of Shockmaster first before you release the next card..

You should get SHOCK MASTER fairly soon. In fact, it might be shipped together with SLIFER.

When you wrote in to sjalpha@viz.com, did you note your VIZmanga.com account username? Also, did you make sure to input your mailing address in your profile setting?

Seriously what do we have to do? It's a serious inconvenience that we as the subscribers have to pay and then pursue SJA just to receive what we should've gotten a long time ago. I mean, I'm very patient, so this is now annoying. But if I were to only get one card, I guess as long as they can deliver Slifer, I'll be a happy camper.

For those of you who have written in to the customer service, chances are we have you down on file as needing the card. We will send out another shipment of cards to those who were missing it. At the LATEST, expect it by the end of the month (or sooner). It could also get packaged together with your SLIFER card as well.

Did you write in to customer service? Do so quickly at sjalpha@viz.com. We're currently putting together a list to send out cards to. Chances are, if you're on that list, you should receive it, at the latest, by the end of the month.

I'm not exactly sure but I'm going to subscribe today afternoon so hopefully I get it. I know what you mean because if you go to Sign-Up! it says you can still get "Slifer the Sky Dragon" but if you go to the link that says Promo Cards, you'll see that the deadline for "Slifer" is the 11th.

I have a question, at the end of the month i will no longer be at my place of residence any longer and i am afraid that i will be out before slifer arrives in my mail. if I am not able to change my mailing address before it arrives what can i do to still get one? What is late July?

Chances are they went to The San Diego Comic Con and got theirs already. If you sign up for Shonen Jump Alpha at comic con you get Slifer right there on the spot. I got mine there.

Hey guys quick question, I signed up for Shonen Jump Alpha at SDCC 2012, and i recieved my Slifer the Skydragon right on the spot, however the guy doing this told me that I would soon recieve an e-mail confirmation, telling me how to set up my adress to recieve future Yu-Gi-Oh cards and w/e but I havent gotten it yet. Is there anyway I can contact them to let them know this? becuase my account has been charged w/ an annual subscription but i havent recieved the email. Please help!

That was probably me. Write to sjalpha@viz.com pronto. If there was a mistake when you entered your email address, then of course the confirmation email would not have gone through.

When writing the email, please be sure to write the email address you inputted for the account and the day you signed up at the Con.

Yeah, Slifer is my favorite God card too, which Is why I really wanna know If I am going to get one. If there was an error for shipping him to me or I've been told I'm not getting one at all, I'd lose it.

I don't know if I should be jealous for those people who are getting Slifer early from SDCC or ebay or be chuckling because people are paying double to quadruple the price we paid for our cards.

Actually, what everyone seems to be overlooking is that Obelisk is more true to the anime effect than Slifer.

Let's say you didn't have a Playable Slifer and you don't know how to get one. Suddenly at your next Yugioh Tournament, you see someone with a Playable Slifer the Sky Dragon that he or she is using in his or her deck. Would you ask that person to trade that Slifer with you?

The reason I ask this question is because I have bad thoughts that if I had a Playable Slifer in my deck people would be begging to trade my Slifer. I keep having bad thoughts that someone would steal it, fight me for it or take it and say "I'm not letting it go until you trade it with me".

Peronally, I wouldn't ask to trade for that guy's Slifer because he's obviously going to refuse. On the offchance that he said "what do you have to trade," I know it'd likely cost an arm and a limb to get it from him. It'd be far easier to wait until I had a way to get it on my own.

Slifer's the bee's knees. If you had it, most duelists would covet it and envy you for having it. That's just part of the game though. If you know people who would actually fight you for it, start carrying bear mace or a knife with you when you walk places (this also protects you from normal muggers and your friendly neighborhood rapist!). If you're concerned that a someone might take it from your room or something, you can put your deck in a zip-lock bag or card case and stick it in your handy backpack.

Also, I wouldn't shove my god card in everyone's face if and when I obtain one. Let your deck do the talking. :)

I'm not saying I'm rubbing in someone face or anything that may result to envy. I figure it's a rare card and people would want it.

Just like the time I was at a Sneak Peek tournament and my last booster pack had Sacred Beast Raviel, Lord of Phantasms people ran up to me and begged me to trade it, I said no but they wouldn't take no for an answer, so I had to leave early to get away from them. I'm saying that a card like that people would do anything for it, Even some are paying huge prices for the ones on ebay.

Yeah...I have that card myself, and I KNOW what you mean. That is one problem with cards as rare as Slifer and Raviel. They are really powerful, and really hard to come by, and people want them! The funny thing is...I have tons of rare cards because I buy alot of them! I would have to say that my rarest card is a misprinted Des Volstgalph (Or whatever it's name is!) It has 2600 ATK when it SHOULD have 2200! I opened a pack, and there it was! I looked it up on line, and you can imagine the surprise I felt when I saw mine had 400 more ATK then it should! Whenever people see that card, they always want me to trade it to them. I simply tell them that I rarely, if ever, trade cards. They grumble about it a little, but then they stop asking.
