IMPORTANT: INFO REGARDING PROMO CARDS

There have been numerous comments and posts regarding the promo cards. Hopefully this answers everything:

1. When will I get SHOCK MASTER?
If you signed up to be an SJ ALPHA member before April 20, 2012, you will get SHOCK MASTER. For those that qualify, SHOCK MASTER will be sent out sometime around May to June.

2. When is the next promo card coming out?
The next card, SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON, was announced on April 21, 2012. If you sign up for ALPHA after April 20, 2012, this will be your first promo card. Dates on when you should expect the card will be announced as soon as the details are worked out, but for a general timeframe, expect to receive SLIFER about a couple months after SHOCK MASTER goes out. UPDATE: The final date to sign-up for SJ Alpha and receive SLIFER is July 11, 2012.

3. How often are promo cards released?
4 times throughout the year.

4. I'm already an SJ ALPHA member. Will I receive promo cards?
Yes! Make sure your VIZmanga.com account has your mailing address (find out how to do so HERE). You will get whatever cards are released during the duration of your membership, so if you have a year-long membership, expect to receive at least four cards (some lucky ones might get more!).

5. Will it be delivered to my home?
Yes! Please be sure to input your mailing address in your VIZmanga.com profile.

6. I transferred over my subscription from print to digital. Will I get cards?
Yes. You will get whatever cards are released during the duration of your transferred membership. HOWEVER, please be sure that your VIZmanga.com account profile has your latest mailing address.

Almost the end of june and I still have not received my shock master, I signed up in march. Wondering if you guys ran out or something or you just send them out by who signed up first.

Hrm... You should have received it by now. I'd write to sjalpha@viz.com and let them know about the promo card. Please include your VIZmanga.com user account name as well in the e-mail.

I just singed up for this now SJ alpha thing mostly for Slifer to complete my god card set. I enjoy SJ but I will admit it has not been the same for me seance the original Yugioh ended. You just can't top the original and the newer stuff often makes me just think that I want Yugi back. I guess that is why Yugioh R made me so happy.

However, this is kind of beside the point I want to make today. I wanted to ask about extra promos.

You see, I used to buy 2 extra copies of SJ at my local store of the print manga whenever there was a promo card I liked as you normally can have up to 3 copies of any card in a deck unless they restrict it of course. Also, sometimes I would even buy even more copies of the magazine for my friends if I thought it was something they would enjoy, especially around the holidays. I actually bought 6 copies of the issue with Obelisk and Ra simply because I wanted 3 for myself and 3 to give as gifts to friends because I know they would like god cards. So you actually sold me 6 copies of the same magazine 2 years in a row doing that.

I am now wondering, what are my options for gifts and extra promos now that everything is digital? If there are no options, I guess I could always do the amazon / ebay thing but I would rather go threw here if possible.

Hey guys, this might be a stupid question but, i get my mail at a P.O. Box at my local post office. Will slifer be mailed still to my P.O. Box if a don't have a mailbox? Again that might be a stupid question if it is sorry.

I asked them this same question months ago, for I too have P.O. Box. They said P.O. Box works, so you should be fine.

everytime i email sj it always tells me to go to the web site and hopefully it will help me out y can sj (ppl) tell me if i get slifer or not im gettin really pissed off. ill change my mind when they answer me corectlly

I converted my print subscription to digital back at April 20. I still haven't received my Shock Ruler yet. It's been almost 2 weeks and the people at sjalpha@viz.com haven't responded yet. Also my mailing address is correct, so I don't know what's the problem. I checked my subscription ends at the August 2.

Just be patient. And make sure your address is right. You also need to subscribe by paying US$ 25.99 for the annual membership for to receive the cards.

I just found out about promo card after sign up I realy want the slifer the sky dragon card i know im 5 days late but wanna know if its ok and do i still get one since the new ones not out yet.

You're too late for SLIFER. The first card you will receive is the SUPERDREADNOUGHT card a few months from now.

I think it would be amazing if a promo were to be a user created card, with whatever design and effect they came up with. Obviously it would have to be made with a reasonable effect for it to be played

I just put in my mailing address but it say if I'm a member before July 11 then I get it. But I was a member before July 11 do I get the card?

Those cards are no longer available. You will have to buy them from another source. Search around on ebay or find someone to trade with are your only options. Or just be very patient and wait for the card to be reprinted in a future product.

I have a question I signed up today and during the sign up it stated that I will get 48 issues an a slifer the sky dragon. I'm new to this but I go and check on here and it says the last day was July 11. I bought the membership today July 19. Now am I gonna recieve this card? Bc if not I feel as the customer I was miss lead?

Can you tell me where exactly this is stated? Because throughout this site, it lists July 11 as being the final date you can sign up to become a member to receive SLIFER.

I have sent at least 3 e-mails to SJ alpha concerning my problem but nobody has responded. I have been a year subscriber since SJ alpha started and my address info. is correct but shock master has never arrived. Shock master did not arrive in May, June nor in July. What is the problem?

Since we should be getting Slifer around this time since the sign up deadline has past I can wait on inquiring when we can expect those to be delivered but is their any possible tracking option as I received an email stating that I qualified for Shock Master and my address information was up to date but I am still sitting here waiting on delivery.

If you haven't received SHOCK MASTER, write to sjalpha@viz.com ASAP with details (what you need and your VIZmanga.com account username). We're shipping more out to those who did not receive it the first time around. You should receive it, at the latest, by the time SLIFER goes out (which is end of this month).

I also received an email about Shock Master, but never received it. I have also emailed about 3 times inquiring about it. I have been getting worse service for Alpha then I ever got from the print version of Shonen Jump. My address was up to date and everything. Is there anyway any of us could get some actual customer service?

yeah i agree with you i have e-mailed about getting the slifer promo several times and no one has responded and its really obnoxious, i just wish they had like a customer help lime or something because I'm sick of waiting around with no response to my questions.

John, you know how you guys posted a page that gave us tips for using Shockmaster, called "Give Me Shock Treatment?" Is somebody going to post a page like that for Slifer the Sky Dragon? I would love to read that, just for the fun of it.
