Thinking about becoming an SJ Alpha member? If you become a member by July 11, 2012, you'll get our next Yu-Gi-Oh! promo card—Slifer the Sky Dragon! Fans of the print SHONEN JUMP magazine have already been treated to two previous God Cards (Obelisk and Ra), and now the trilogy is complete with this release. Just like the other God cards, each Slifer the Sky Dragon has Kazuki Takahashi Sensei's printed signature!

Slifer the Sky Dragon

[Divine-Beast/Effect]
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. When a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position: That monster(s) loses 2000 ATK, then if its ATK has been reduced to 0 as a result, destroy it.

Misprinted Des Volstgalph? I've never heard of that, nor have I heard the news about it or seen pictures of it.

Thing are getting crazy now about Slifer. People are paying atleast $400 for it, people on youtube are requesting them for trade and even though I want to bring and use Slifer in my deck at a tournament it's too risky when almost everyone in my town has no clue on how to get it.

Yeah. Slifer will be a card that every duelist will want to keep under lock and key! And about my Des Volstgalph, I hadn't heard anything about a misprinted one making it out of the card factory either, but hey! I have it! I hate to sound like I'm bragging...I'm not....I'm just saying that cards as rare as that tend to draw people in like rotting meat draws in flies! I actually don't carry that card with me anymore. For one thing, its ATK is misprinted, and therefore likely unusable in a duel. For another, the first thing I am asked is what or how much I want for it. It's easier to just leave it at home where nobody can ask for it!

its the already end of the month and nothing! i signed up to sj alpha to just get cards, this is my first time with this membership! so is there always problems with cards being shipped? or is it just ppl over reacting? because i see a lot of ppl complaining and saying they didn't get their shock master and stuff so it makes me uneasy to believe this procedure is a hassle specially after having paid!!!

Most everyone has received their first promo SHOCK MASTER, and of course, the minority who has not received them are a bit more vocal (as they should be). SLIFER is not scheduled to go out until the end of the month, so there's your reason for not receiving it yet. Hopefully you'll get your card with no problem (if you qualify for SLIFER. If not, your next card is GUSTAV MAX which will be sent out a few months from now).

oh ok kool thanx, and yeah i should qualify, i got my subscribtion the same day as the deadline (the 11th) and i had my mailing address and all that good stuff in before 11.59 pm. so if they get sent out at the end of month that means we get it like within the first two weeks of august! right?

Did you make sure to input your mailing address in your VIZmanga.com account profile? If not, there's no way we can get cards out to you.

Make sure to do that first if you haven't done so. Once that is set up, write in to sjalpha@viz.com with details on your issue and be sure to include your VIZmanga.com account username.

And when did you submit your new address? If it was after the initial shipment of shock masters that's why you never got one. But luckily a new shipment is being sent/has been sent for those that informed them by email about not receiving it. Have you already sent them an email regarding it?

Hello all Shounen Jump Alpha peeps. So I live in the west coast and, I didn't get this card yet.
So I was wondering why didn't I get it yet? I mean it's already August, and I still haven't gotten the card.
How do I go about telling SJalpha that I didn't get this card?

Around July 10, it was posted that slifer the sky dragon was to be shipped out by the end of July, which is about July 30 or 31. Then on August 1, the shipping date was changed to has changed yet again to August 27. First of all, I am beyond pissed. There was a 20 day period between July 10 and July 30 for everything to be taken care for shipping slifer, but it wasn't. Then, I had to wait an extra 21 days for slifer to be shipped out. Again, their was 21 days where shipping slifer should have been taken care of. Now I have to wait an extra 2 weeks or so for slifer to be in my mail, yet people who had the money to travel to Gencon or SDCC received theirs on the spot. So Yes, people have the right to be PISSED that they are not getting what they are asking for. I have checked this website on people's responses ever since mid July and each angry individual has said the same thing. So again, everyone has the right and should be pissed that they aren't getting what they are asking for in a timely manner.

i think shonen jump alpha should send everyone 2 copies of slifer for all the trouble they put use trough especially breaking there promise about being the first ones to get it seriously we have been signed up for months and they just hand them out like candy who just signed up at gen-con and comic con its not fair. a lot of people are considering unsubscribing cause of this. im just as much as a Yu-gi-oh fan as i am a manga fan.
they should of just stick with the print magazines apparently it was easier on them than just sending cards

i agree that they should do something to make up to the subscribers for all the trouble caused but i have to disagree with you on what the card should be. I think they should give us The Creator God of Light, Horakhty instead of MagiMagi Magician Gal!

I emailed customer service a week ago and no response. Is anyone else having this problem ? If so why is shonen jump ignoring its customers ? This whole digital print thing with the promo cards is ridiculous go back to paper print its much easier and everybody gets there promo cards like clock work so disappointed in jump right now .
