The best thing to do is to look at your VIZmanga.com account when you're looking at the latest issue of SJ ALPHA. Below the manga pages, in a box on the lower-right of your screen, you should see when your membership expires.
What I think happens is that we see that your first membership is about to expire, so you get a newsletter about that. If your date on the lower right is correct, then I wouldn't put much stock in the email.

Say, do you accept PO Box numbers, just out of plain, old curiosity? You see, I have a post office box, and the post master there can get rather....irritable if your mail doesn't have your PO Box number in the address. I put my PO Box number as my shipping address on my account, I subscribed a couple of weeks before the deadline to subscribe to get Slifer had arrived....but I have not yet received an email confirming that Slifer is being packaged to ship out, like alot of other people here claim to have. It makes me feel a little...concerned about it! Like I said before, it makes me wonder if you take PO Box numbers. If not, I'm screwed!

Hey, Mr. Bae. I've tried quite a bit of Customer service e-mailing these past couple of weeks, with no response! In your FAQ section, when I signed up, you had said that anyone signing up after April 20 would get the Slifer promo card. I signed up on July 15, which is when I read your advertisement on the promo card. And then, on July 16, you posted an update saying I had to have signed up before July 11 to get the card. This leaves me furious, since the card was the only reason I signed up! You promised me this card until you had my money, and then said I wouldn't get it! That is, by all definitions, information fraudulence and direct online theft! If I'm not going to get the card you said I would receive, then I demand a refund IMMEDIATELY.

Not sure where you saw that ad, but the deadline for SLIFER was actually listed before the 7/11 deadline on this site.
Also, keep in mind that many of us were working at San Diego Comic-Con, and that may explain why you saw that ad wasn't updated until the show was over. With that said, the messaging on sjalpha.com was updated before and during the show with regards to SLIFER's deadline and the announcement of GUSTAV MAX.

There's a very good reason for this. Both SLIFER and GUSTAV MAX haven't been sent out yet. Please read the news item on the site about the promo cards. A lot of misinformation and guessing out there, when the answers can be found on this site.

You know....people keep saying this card will be hard to get out, but the fact is, all you need is two Metal Reflect Slime Trap-Monster cards, and you are set! Just like someone else pointed out on here, but I'm really pointing out how they would come in handy! In your hand, they count as traps. While they are on the field, they ALSO count as level ten monsters with 3000 DEF each. You would just hold on to them, play them, activate them and then summon this monster! Easier then you would think! The easiest way to acquire this card is in Marik's sidedeck.

The reason I say this is because....quite honestly, I HATE it when people go for one turn kills! It takes the fun out of the game! No more lengthy duels, where people have to use their gutts and their brains, just, "lays a card, lays a card, summons two Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragons, stacks them on top of each other and plays Gustav Max, uses its effect. Oh, I win. Yay. How......dull!

Another reason I am saying this is because I'm giving an alternative way to summon this monster! Your not always just going to draw two Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragons, or the cards needed to summon them, on your first turn! Or your second, third, fourth, fifth and so forth. If that is all your counting on to summon this card, you might as well take it and tear it in half! Like I said in my previous comment, you need to think...strategically! You need to have back-up plans in case one of them fails! Relying on one move is going to lose you the duel more then it's going to win it for you...unless you stack the deck like Arcana did in his duel against Yugi, trimming the edges of his cards so they would slide through each other and end up the way he wanted them to. However, I doubt you are such a person!

The only cards u need in ur hand to pull of the full heiratic combo are eset, su, and any other hieratic dragon. and Seal of Convocation helps a lot. my deck can pull it off about 75% of the time on first turn

Can anyone tell me what issue shooting quasar dragon is available in.

It was the last set of two cards that they released that you got for subscribing to Shonen Jump when it was still in print. Your best shot at getting that card is on sites like toywiz.com or ebay. Or, perhaps begging some kind hearted duelist into trading it to you. Yeah, I tried getting them by renewing my subscription...but then they sent me a letter saying they were going digital, canceled it, lost my chance at getting them this way and ended up ordering them off of ebay, because I knew that no duelist in their right mind was going to trade them to me. If you do order them, also order the Synchro monster by the name of "Formula Synchron", otherwise, Shooting Quasar Dragon is just plain useless, for it stipulates on the card that you use a Tuner-Synchro monster as part of its synchro material. Why Formula Synchron? It's a level two Tuner-Synchro monster and its effect makes it so you can Synchro-Summon a monster during either your opponent's turns or your own! Just so you know, the card that comes with Shooting Quasar Dragon is Sephylon The Ultimate Time Lord. Both of these cards are just....awesome!
