Good issue!

Although it's not quite the right time of year, the super Christmassy Toriko was really funny. And gives a tiny bit of backstory on Toriko himself.

The ending of One Piece plucked my heartstrings (for the billionth time!). Oda's art never ceases to totally amaze me. 61 volumes in and still so full of energy!

Big news in Bakuman! Not gonna say what, but it's been a long time coming.

Naruto's gone full Godzilla! I kind of wish the Biju were all guys in rubber suits stomping around fighting each other. That's probably just a "me" thing. = )

Bleach was tender and I always enjoy Nura for the spooky art.

That was my take.

When I saw the preview of Nura in shonen jump a year ago, I was stunned that a weekly manga could have such good artwork. it's the only reason why i'm watching the anime right now to catch up to the manga.

I hope Reborn! and Hunter x Hunter will be added to Shonen Jump Alpha soon.

I would love to see more series added to the magazine. You can never have too much of a good thing.

My ranking for those chapters, I would kick out the series I don't read (bottom2) but itll be fun to rank the chapters weekly like in Japan.

Was good. I like the line-up alot.

This weeks favorites in order was:
Bakuman
One Piece
Naruto
Bleach
Toriko
Nura

I'm not very fond of Nura, and honestly I'd like it cut. Just not... exciting enough. I'd love to see one-shots in its place, where we can vote whether or not the one shot stays in the line-up or if we move on.

There should definetly be some sort of voting system for one shots that get rotated in and out of sja.

I'd be pretty pissed if Nura was cut. theyres no reason to drop any series... that's basically just telling fans to go read scanlations!

One-shots by definition are only one chapter long. And if they become a series or not is determined by voting by readers in Japan.

However, VIZ has already stated that they will feature one-shots and other specials whenever a series goes on hiatus in Japan.

For example, One Piece is going on hiatus soon, and while it's on hiatus it'll be replaced in Alpha by Cross Epoch.

How do you know that Cross Epoch is going to replace One Piece?

P.S. will Bleach take a 3 week hiatus in SJA like it did in WSJ?
