And again, we appreciate it, but I don't want to give out information on things that are unconfirmed. Until I hear back from the printer, I won't know for sure details (for example, was there a delay on their end on shipping them out, did they just send them out, etc).
But what I do know is that the cards are ready to go. It's just a matter of when the printer ships them (or if they did already). In any case, members will be getting their cards soon.

There shouldn't be any complications between the two since those are two separate mailing lists. If you do have a problem in getting SLIFER or are mistakenly sent a SHOCK MASTER, just let me know and I'll see what I can do to help out.

That really shouldn't be an issue. If there is an issue, it would most likely be a missing card or a damaged card issue. If either happens, get in contact with me and I'll see what I can personally. It's not something I wold normally do, but you certainly went above and beyond the call of duty while I was out.

Right now, I think the company has plans for that. It used to be myself and the other editor here who handled customer service, but that proved to be too much for both of us to handle while trying put out online content (as you pretty much experienced over on this site, it's a full-time job).
In the meantime, the best thing for members to do is to write in to sjalpha@viz.com with their concerns.

well it's the 21 of august and i still don't have slifer yet. i know i made the deadline to update my shipping info but i wonder what the delay could be? i need that card to finish my deck.... has anyone gotten there's yet?
I don't think anyone has received theirs yet. The cards are printed and ready. Now it's just a matter of finding out when (good chance it's already out the door) the fulfillment center is shipping them out. Once I can get confirmation, I'll be sure to post an update.
i hope i get slifer though (just got jiped out of my two favorite pokemon yesterday not in a good mood and its right neer the end of the month too (plz ship me slifer)
A lot of talking about slifer, huh? Me, though, I don't really care about slider as much as shock master.
SJA should stop guaranteeing a certain date when they can not deliver, and should estimate a month instead. I am thoroughly excited about getting my cards, and it is always a pleasure to open up the mail and seeing that card you wanted, but the shipping becomes annoying and when you finally get it, you are like "Bout time!' and are less excited. SJA should work a little harder on this, as I had no issues with the print shipping out the cards. I am not, however, complaining about SJA, I think they do a wonderful job, the promos just need to be handled better.

It was a hard lesson learned. I think for future updates, we'll just give a general time frame. This time around, we thought it would be good to try to give our readers a more accurate date, but as with a lot of things in life, unexpected stuff comes up.
But, we're not too far off. Cards are ready. it's just a matter of finding out if they shipped already.

Weekends are usually no good for me. And plus, I really do stink at the game. You might get a better challenge from our freelancer Chris Turner.
I'll tell you what, let me get in touch with him and see if we can coordinate a time during the weekday. I'm a bit busy right now catching up with work and dealing with SLIFER, but later this month or early next month looks good. Why don't you guys let me know what'll work on your schedule (general time frame and days of the week)?

Not off the top of my head. Next tournament I attend, I'll ask around to see what everyone's playing. That way, you'll at least know what is popular and go off from there.
One thing I might look into is for more quirky theme-based Decks, but then again, you might be playing with one hand tied behind your back against an opponent who just goes with what's popular AND strong at the moment. Another thing working against you: it seems like they're releasing products focused on general archetypes when they're released in Japan. And because of that, since you want to construct a Deck that isn't common, you might have trouble finding cards that you need (unless you're willing to fork over large sums to create a custom deck from online sellers).
