Sorry for the delay, but rest assured that your copy of Slifer the Sky Dragon will be shipped on August 27. Expect to receive it about a week after that date (it can be a little bit earlier or later depending on your postal service and location).

UPDATE!!!!

We have just received word that Slifer the Sky Dragon was sent out today (August 27, 2012), so expect to receive your cards soon!

Still waiting here. I miss the old days when I could just buy a copy on store shelves and get a physical copy and not have to worry about a bunch of inept people mishandling everything. Lots of damaged cards, some people getting nothing but foil and some getting nothing at all. Just lame.

Well tomorrows the last day for Slifer to come. Whether i'm a happy camper or not all depends on whether it comes tomorrow and is in mint condition or not. So with that said to all who are still waiting like i am, just hang in there for 1 more day before complaining about not getting Slifer. I know its tough right now for me not to complain but i said i wouldn't until saturday if it doesn't come. So lets all hang in there until then.

Also like Bob1200 I just got my card. I live in Nevada, and I hope that helps people who are here in my state, and anyone else. I got my card in an envelope the card was placed between two pieces of small cardboard, and was not in a plastic cover or even a toploader. I hope no one has gotten an envelope with white cardboard throws it away cause it's very deceiveing the way it looks, but in the middle of that is where your card should be. I only have this to say. Shonenjump could have protected everyone's cards with a plastic cover atleast instead of two rinky dink pieces of cardboard. To me this is a sighn that they do not care how your cards arrive at your doorstep. Bob1200 receieved his with a small bend, and that could've been avoided with a plastic cover, and a toploader. That's all I am going to say about that.

"I" just like other people here sighned up for the manga, and the cards are a bonus. I think that most people who have voiced their opinions are just annoyed because when you pay for any portion of a product you expect to get exactly what you paid for, and nothing less. It's annoying when you are told to expect any portion of a product, and it is not as it was originally described. Not everyone is just going to sit and write out their thoughts, and let that be the end of it. When you feel like the product is faulty in any way size shape or form you will react accordingly. When I say product it means anything in the world that you purchase. You want it to be as described. Also you just admitted to only being here for the cards. Not everyone is here for just the cards so you should not automatically come to that conclusion. Some of us are just not willing to allow the wool to be pulled over our eyes for even an inch, and we may not agree with eachother, but our opinions are just that opinions, but it does not mean we hate on eachother. Right now is just a tense situation that needs to blow over, and it will when everyone gets what they have paid for. People may not realize this, but the cards are apart of the product that was promised, and that's why so many are not happy at the momment. Telling those people to be quiet or to say they are being childish is a waste of time. Those people have a right to speak, and I am pretty sure that not everyone is here just for the cards. For the first time I agree with Bob1200 lol

Could I be put on the list for Slifer's 2nd shipment? I haven't received it yet and I always have anything that is shipped to me 1 week at most on my doorstep, so I fear my Slifer may have been lost in the mail. If it is possible to place me on such a list, I thank you. If not, I understand completely.

Guess what? Your promises mean NOTHING! You promised everyone they'd recieve Slifer by a certain date and YET! A lot of people haven't recieved their Slifer card including ME! This is an outrage and not right. >:( I know i'm e-mailing you about this but "no longer" will i stand up for you and praise you for being a good company (or branch of which i don't really care which it is) and from here on out until you start treating us right i will only warn people not to do business with you incase their willing to put up with CRAP from you and not be treated right. Do us all a HUGH favor and do 3 things, 1. Give us our Slifer cards in mint condition. 2. Start treating us right again. and 3. Go back to print and do away with this digital stuff.

Is the language necessary? There are possibly children on this site too. I don't think its right that all of these "mature and civilized" adults are getting mad over one piece of cardboard. Its just a card, for crying out loud!

I agree with you about the language, but not about Slifer being "just a card"! When you say that, I can't help but chuckle somewhat, because you remind me of my mother during my tense moments right before Slifer arrived. Every time I stormed into the house after checking the mail and finding that Slifer was not there, fuming about how it had not yet arrived, she would just sigh, roll her eyes and say, "What's the big deal? It's just a card?" This would start a big discussion about how Slifer wasn't "just a card" in my eyes, but one of the best, most powerful cards in the game. One that I have wanted since I first saw Strings summon it to the field in his epic duel against Yugi. From what you said, I have to assume that you really don't give a darn about the game of Yu-Gi-Oh, or the fact that just about EVERYONE I know, along with ALOT of people that I don't personally know, but do know through online chat sites, have been waiting for Slifer, Obelisk and Ra to be released as playable cards for years! If you watched the show even ONCE, you would know that they aren't JUST cards. In the end, they proved to be the key to unlocking the pharoah's memories, and due to their key role in the show have since gone on to hold a special place in the hearts of the fans of the show and the game!

Not to mention the fact that they signed up and were promised four cards a year, one of which is Slifer. Now, if you don't get what you pay for, doesn't that warrent SOME anger? Not the "I didn't get my (Swear word) card! Where the (Swear word) is it?" style of anger, but maybe a style like, "I still haven't gotten it! Where is it?" P.S.: I have received mine, but for a short while there, I really could relate to those who haven't, and in some ways, still can!

Ok i sent my e-mail to SJA however let me just say that i saw what you said and isn't it your job to answer questions on this site? Because what you said contridicts your job. Sorry if thats rude of me to say but i'm mad right now because i didn't get my Slifer card and we ALL know we'll have to wait another week or 2 and if its 3 weeks then thats even worse. Anyway my anger here is directed @SJA and not you or anyone else but hopefully you'll be able to tell us when we can expect our Slifer cards to be re-shipped to us? Sorry.

I already sent an e-mail about this. I just checked the mail today and found an envolope that should have contain my Slifer card, but it was just an empty envolope.

Unfortunately the deadline for receiving Slifer was July 11th. Our next promo card is Gustav Max- you can check it out here: http://www.sjalpha.com/node/873
At the moment, we have no solid release dates for Gustav Max, so keep an eye on the website for updates!

I will post this comment on the front page as well so that a lot of people can read it and hopefully get peace of mind.

I want to start off by saying that most of you need to grow up here. You will probably get your card soon. Just give it some time. In the meantime, just carry on with your lives and hope for good news in the mail.
I know you are all eager and afraid that your card is lost in the mail or was never sent. For those of you who received an empty envelope, please forgive me as this does not address you.
I want you all to remember the mailing time for Number 16: Shock Master. The mailing history can be read in this thread.

In summary, Shock Master was mailed out around May 30 from California.
People who live in California and New Jersey apparently received it as early as June 2.
People in British Columbia, Canada received it as early as June 20.

I live in BC, Canada. So that means I received Shock Master over 3 weeks after the mailing date. I found this as a welcome surprise because I did NOT know this was being mailed out.

With respect to Slifer the Sky Dragon, it was mailed out around August 27.
People on youtube apparently received it as early as August 30.
So those in Canada can expect the card around September 17 at the earliest!
If you live in the US, you should all get it around the Canadian date or earlier because USPS is that good.

A huge point I want to make is that Shonen Jump Alpha has to mail this out to thousands and thousands of people. Do not think this is an easy process. It is difficult to please everyone in the world. You are only displaying jealousy and hate when you comment on how someone gets the card earlier than you.

In conclusion:
If you really want to complain, make yourself heard at the end of September. Otherwise, please keep your negatve opinions to yourself and stop flooding this thread with hate. For those of you who want to help this community out, please leave a comment with the following:
1. City, State/Province, Country
2. Received Date
