That's the second time I saw mention of the mag being called simply Shonen Jump. Are you guys rebranding the mag to Shonen Jump instead of SJAlpha?

Sorry, in the office we usually just say SHONEN JUMP or ALPHA. Aside from that, I plead the fifth...until the 14th! Big news dropping then inside the 01-14-13 issue!

Can't wait to hear the news next week! I am a member tillAug 4th of this year and plan to renew soon! But, I am HAPPY we get to keep all our digital magazines now! So, We look for another big upgrade in manga reading?

One question John What happens if U don't know how to download or can't download to keep issues? I do have an active accout on Vizmanga.com! Well two questions then lol! Do the old issues stay in our Vizmanga.com account as long as we keep renewing membership?

I'll wait for john or urian to confirm, but my guess is this. your vizmanga.com account doesn't expire just your SJalpha content subscription. To access and content you've paid for you just do what you normally do, but if your subscription expires you want get any new issues, that's all. So if your subscription expires it won't effect what you've already paid for.

Pretty spot on. Even if your membership expires, you'll always have the issues you paid for. Those won't go away. You just won't get any of the new issues that come out if you haven't paid for them.

Oh,ok thanks 4 that info guys that makes me feel much better lol! I will still renew soon! My mom gives me the ok to read manga online! But,my sister has to pay 4 my membership 4 me. It sure dose suck when U can't pay 4 it Urself.

I missed a few myself because i hadn't gone digital yet. I waited till the last issue to do that just to be safe though it was two months after the last issue came out due to poor management on SJ's part which was resolved. Anyway i too would like to be able to purchase past issues and it'd be simple enough for them to do that too incase they didn't save the data.

My subscription ended a few months ago and renewed last month.

I checked my mail and saw this. I want to say thank you. This really makes me happy. I wasn't sure if i wasn't planing on renewing this year but now i just might. Still not sure. One thing i don't like is how it strains my eyes because its online and i won't lie, i miss the paper SJ issues. I recieved the year book and it brough to me nastalgia. I miss the paper SJ issues and wish they'd come back. That being said once again thank you for letting us keep our issues. We DID pay for them after all so i wasn't happy when i found out they'd disappear after a year but you've now recorrected this so once more, thank you. :)

Thank you Viz, I'm glad you listened to our request (demand ^^;) to allow us to keep these issues. You made it so I won't have to rush to catch up with 2 weeks to go, because I was on the fence about renewing the subscription until this announcement, leaning dangerously close to letting expire. :s

I have to say, the expiring issues was my biggest beef with SJA until now. This with the simultaneous release is great news!!

Now I'd just like to see the full range of manga included each week, including the one-shots, rather than the few most popular. What we get is great, but the more, the better :D

Just one question...how do we download them? I know I have to download them in order to read them on the Viz Manga app, but is there any way to download them on your computer?

It would be within their best interest to allow people to download a copy to PC's. Too easy to then pirate that download.

The issues expiring was the deciding factor in whether or not I would ever renew my subscription. Now that I know my issues will never expire, I may renew.

That's a good point. I just figured that since they said, "download to own," that meant that there was some way to download the manga. But I guess you can only download it through the smartphone app.

Just a question about the online subscription. Will we get e-mails when it's
about to expire and exactly how long does an online subscription last? And
does this affect getting the new cards? I already have all four 2012 cards and
I'd like to know what to do to insure I get Number 88 and beyond.

I was actually contemplating ending my subscription, after all I wouldn't have access to them anyway, but this changes everything!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have had my Shonen Jumps for years! I love it! Thank you!!! Now if we could only get downloads...

It was hard enough navigating this site to begin with, but now I don't know how anything works anymore!
