One Piece: Fool's Gold

While Luffy and crew are trying to figure out how to get to the mythical island in the sky, they run into Mont Blanc Cricket. Cricket is moved by the Straw Hats' determination to chase their dreams, since he's also chasing a romantic dream of his own.

Every day, Cricket dives without fail. He's making it his life mission to find the lost city of gold, risking his health by diving and scouring the ocean's floor. But why? His strong motivation lies in his family's history, one that has brought them shame for centuries.

What's in a Name?

Mont Blanc Cricket hates his name. He has no problem with the Cricket part. It's the Mont Blanc name that brings him ridicule. A descendant of the infamous Noland the Liar, who claimed he found a city of gold in the Grand Line, Cricket ran away to become a pirate. Fate brought his swashbuckling days to a close when he landed on the very island that brought his family shame—Jaya! Cricket now dives every day to find Noland's lost city of gold.

Underwater Monkey Business

Cricket's not alone in his quixotic quest. Two apelike comrades have caught on to his romantic infatuation and are willing to scour the seafloor to find the city of gold.

Masira's one of the top-brass monkeys and heads the salvaging crew that dives for sunken treasure.Shoujou's got one mean set of pipes that he can use either as sonar or as a sonic-destruction weapon.

Will Cricket finally find the lost city of gold? To find out, check out the latest One Piece graphic volume releases starting in January 2010! In the meantime, satisfy your One Piece anime appetite at onepieceofficial.com!
