Food Fight!
Hankering for some good grub? Thanksgiving is the perfect time to chow down and hang with our resident foodie—Choji Akimichi! Today, we'll be taking Choji to the wonderful buffet of treats found in the
Naruto Collectible Card Game! So let's grab our plates and get started with the feast!
Having a card like "Choji Akimichi (N-635)" with a voracious appetite is a boon for any well-seasoned gamer. N-635 removes one Ninja Blade coin of any kind from the game. This effect allows for nearly endless combos and quicker access to some of the most popular and powerful cards in the game!
Tasty Combo! We're on a mission to feed a hungry Choji, and what better way to start our full-course meal than with "Transmitter (M-465)"! This Mission is a Permanent (2), meaning that when it's played, you place two Ninja Blade coins on the Mission. Once that's done, remove one coin at the beginning of your Turn, and when no more coins are on the Mission, move M-465 to your Chakra Area.
M-465 allows you to search your Deck for one card and add it to your hand once the Mission is no longer in play. Normally you'd have to wait two Turns, but when you combo M-465 with "Choji Akimichi (N-635)," that long wait shortens to just one Turn! And any food enthusiast knows that a shorter wait means you'll have more time to devour your opponents!
On to the Meat…of This Feature! Can't seem to find Choji? Chances are you just haven't been looking in the right places, and your best bet would be to start at the local barbecue joint! Asuma always treats his squad to barbecue after any difficult mission, and "BBQ (M-397)" is the perfect card to hit any hungry ninja's spot. M-397 benefits from N-635's effect of eating Ninja coins and allows you to draw two more delectable cards from your Deck without missing your next draw!
Exotic TasteThink you have adventurous tastes when it comes to cuisine? Perhaps having a hearty appetite like Choji's will help you digest some of the more, er… exotic offerings in the
Naruto CCG! In some countries, chocolate-covered bugs are considered a delicacy. "Shino Aburame (N-511)" is one of the most-played Turn 0 Ninjas. When Shino comes into play, he brings one Ninja Blade coin (symbolizing an Insect coin) in play. However, N-635 takes a bite out of Shino's Insect coin effortlessly! Yum!
We hope you had a nice Thanksgiving meal with Choji. Keeping up at the dinner table with the portly ninja can be a daunting task, so take your time to digest all the wonderful goodies the
Naruto CCG has to offer. And if you want seconds, check out SHONEN JUMP for more great card coverage!
