Focused too much on the Flagships!

I can't help but think that Viz relies too much on the main series in SJ, especially when they have so many others like Tegami Bachi, D. Gray Man, and Reborn. There are even some series that they haven't even bothered to work on yet like Kurogane, Magico, Kuroko's Basketball, Medaka Box and Harisugawa in Mirrorworld. They should promote these other series a lot more, it would probably even raise their profits!

EXACTLY!! "Katekyo Hitman REBORN!" is one of Japan's most popular manga, but VIZ blows it off like it's worthless! Not to mention, other series like "Kurogane" are great and past series such as "Enigma" were PERFECT! And I HATE this idea of online manga, but I have no choice because certain series don't come into print in America! They don't even have digital manga in JAPAN, the HOME of manga! VIZ needs to figure out that this isn't and will never be a good idea!

Just give them time,mdigital manga is a great way for them to expand on their selection and already said they have plans on adding new manga.

They really do need to have more manga. Its killing me that some of there great manga isn't there. I mean they need one gag manga so at least add Sket Dance. I don't think that's to much to ask. To be honest though I'm not really a fan of Nura so just replace it with Reborn. I'm sure other people would be as happy as i would be if this would happen.

Reborn would be the perfect addition to SJ Alpha. I'm getting the free subscription right now, but sure as hell won't be giving VIZ my money until they add BOTH Reborn! and Hunter x Hunter to the magazine. I also hope they continue these series' volume releases and re-print ancient, hard-to-find volumes.

They really don't have the right to cancel series due to their own scant advertising. Kurohime was barely advertised/previewed in the magazine and it was cancelled. same with reborn. now series like toriko (which should have been added to the magazine) that dont show up on any bestseller lists might even be cancelled :(

I Totally think the same way I loved Reborn and laughed a lot. But big anime and manga companies don't pay any attention.

As popular as Reborn! is in Japan, the problem is...that's Japan; now that Viz has the license for Reborn!, they don't really need to care about how popular it is there so much as they do about how popular it is HERE. They are a business after all; if the product doesn't sell here, they could continue to release it despite it putting them in a loss, financially--especially when one considers how tenative the industry was back when Reborn! was put on hiatus, to the extend the magazine had to reinvent itself to survive and streamline its contents and series.

With any luck, thanks to Viz's subbing the anime and the word of mouth that has been spread by outraged fans for the past 19 months or so, they would consider putting it in Alpha to increase its exposure further; it is a quality series and I would really like more of it, but if everyone wins, it would be even better.
