VIZ Media Statement on the WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA Launch

WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA launched on our VIZManga.com website on Monday, January 30, 2012. However, we experienced technical delays in launching our subscription service within our VIZ Manga Apps for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. We sincerely apologize for this delay. Please know we have been working hard to find a solution to these technical issues.

Effective immediately, all subscribers utilizing our VIZ Manga apps can read their WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA issues on their iPad, iPhone and iPod touch; the first issue is now available. In addition, we will be extending subscriptions by one week for all current subscribers (regardless of whether you have the VIZ Manga App). It’s our way of saying “thank you for your patience” during our launch.

To access WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA issues on the VIZ Manga App:
1.) Launch the VIZ Manga App on your iOS device
2.) Sign in with your username and password
3.) Click on My Manga to enjoy your WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA issue

For those new to the WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA experience, annual subscriptions may be purchased for $25.99 for 52 weeks of access and individual issues may be purchased for $0.99 each for four weeks access through VIZManga.com.

Go on the old sj website and enter for the ipad contest using your sj sub info, vizmanga login info, and submit and then youll be able to

I've downloaded the Viz app, and have an account, and bought the first issue of SJalpha for .99 cents, but I am still not getting any sort of new SJalpha. On the app I don't see it on the lists of new manga or anything. All I want to do is read Jump! Please help.

That's because you only bought a single issue. If you want to have weekly access to ALPHA, you need to become an annual member.

Hey all I just renewed for a year as well as switched my print over to digital just a week after the start of SJALPHA. Only cause, I thought my sister had my sub switched over for me. But, I had to do it myself HO. If you want it done right do it yourself LOL!
