REVIEW: This Week's Issue!

art by Naoshi Komi
Summer is starting to wind down, but it's still not too late to take advantage of the weather and have fun in the sun! And what better way to have fun than with the girls of Nisekoi (and of course, the ever-hapless Raku, whose face is on the beach ball)! Having a cover and an opening intro page in color truly highlights Naoshi Komi's fantastic art style. And that little touch of color makes Nisekoi that much more fun-loving! Learn more about the man and his art with our exclusive interview inside this week's issue!

by Naoshi Komi
Raku has a bit of a memory problem to begin with—he can't seem to remember the name and the face of the girl he made a promise with more than ten years ago. But how in tarnation can he forget his (false) girlfriend Chitoge's birthday?! Though her rage can be justified, Chitoge is beating herself up...for beating Raku up!

by Masashi Kishimoto
I remember a past Masashi Kishimoto interview where he talked about how having a baby profoundly influenced the storyline in Naruto. And you can see it in full force with this current story arc as Naruto and his resurrected father team-up to take on the delusional Obito. Can the father-and-son duo take out the seemingly invincible Obito, who has now become the Ten Tails' jinchuriki?

One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda
I love One Piece! And this chapter highlights everything that I've come to love about this series! Luffy's in the midst of a grudge match at the tournament against quite an imposing foe, meanwhile the rest of the Straw Hats are getting ready for action. Oda's an absolute genius when it comes to creating and designing creatures, and his latest (and perhaps littlest) creations are mind boggling! I wanna go to Tontatta Airport to ride on top of bugs!!!

Jaco the Galactic Patrolman
by Akira Toriyama
Jaco and Omori are being chased by the authorities and are quickly saved by a girl named Tights! But they're still not in the clear yet as the police are searching every nook and cranny for Jaco. Though the situation may seem impossible to overcome, Jaco's not a "chosen super elite member of those who protect the peace of the galaxy" for nothing...right?!

One-Punch Man
story by ONE, art by Yusuke Murata
Puri Puri Prisoner. That is all.

World Trigger
by Daisuke Ashihara
After establishing a pretty strong storyline, the action in World Trigger is starting to heat up as Jin takes on Kei Tachikawa, his rival at Border. Though both were somewhat evenly matched throughout their career at Border, with Tachikawa holding a slight edge, Jin now wields a Black Trigger. But is that enough to hold off the Border Agents on a hunt for Yuma and his Black Trigger?

by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro
For me personally, I think one of Shimabukuro Sensei's strong points as a mangaka are his crazy character designs. And in this latest chapter, we're introduced to even more characters (actually, reintroduced, as these characters have all appeared before in the manga, but their identities were not all fully revealed), and I now have a new favorite character design: Alfaro!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal
Original Concept by Kazuki Takahashi
Story by Shin Yoshida, Art by Naohito Miyoshi
Production Support: STUDIO DICE
What's going on?! Throw all your theories and expectations out the window, as this chapter is chock-full of twists and surprises! The good guys might actually be bad? The bad guys might not be so evil? I just don't know what to think anymore...

Dragon Ball
by Akira Toriyama
It's about to get real in Dragon Ball as Nappa is not happy with how things are going. Though the earthlings might not prove much of a challenge, Son Goku's iminent arrival has them all pumped up! But is Goku's presence enough to take on both Nappa AND Vegeta?!

Extras: Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG feature, Back Issues Announcement, Author Comments.

Great review. This issue felt like it was packed with a lot of content.

The weapon's in World Trigger are very interesting. Speaking of futuristic weapons, I was trying to study real life examples of "fantasy" or "scifi" weapons and found some neat examples.

Plasma saber, it stabilizes into a 1 inch blade at 00:43 and then they use it to cut steel!

Blue Laser Beam{strongest of the beams, you can even use it to heat up a cup of coffee apparently}.

Green Laser Beam
{In this video, they actually use a magnifier to enhance its power, a character in the manga story I'm working on uses magnifiers for that exact reason since Magnifiers do for lasers what swords do for kinetic force, which is to focus it.}

There are other beams like red, which I heard keeps its power for the longest distance, and is somewhere between the power of blue and green.

All the above things are dangerous and shouldn't be tried at home. It's better to just observe videos made by others who have proper knowledge on safety equipment.

Nice review John! =)
I liked the pictures for NISEKOI and ZEXAL.

Hope to see a released Heartlandraco released soon! What, him or Deadly Sin (Probably a new name knowing America...) will most likely be in the next volume (after Number 47 and 72). You know, if my guess is right.

I wasn't gonna post until the day it was ready to submit, but I think I will post as spoiler-free as possible what I have so far. I am presently in the toning/final inks stage, where I set down tones and refine the inking lines. I was originally going to do tones lightly, but after seeing some other manga making heavy use of tones...

Anyways, this is a different version of the story than what was posted a while ago, so different finale and plot.

I don't know why, but I just strongly feel like just keeping everything a surprise. : P

Argh, sticky copy and paste. D: Here is the third image of partial shots of various panels:

The story will most likely be named Grydfar or Grydfer.
