Dragon Ball
by Akira Toriyama

Well, this is it folks. It's finally here. The famous "Over 9,000!" part in the manga. But it's actually "Over 8,000." I wonder why they changed it to 9,000 for the anime? We've discussed it in the office many times, but could not figure it out. The numer "9,000" and "8,000" have the same number of syllables in Japanese and English, so it can't be a "lip flap" thing. Hrm...what a mystery!
