NEWS: A New Manga's Joining SJ!

A new manga called All You Need is Kill is joining the Weekly Shonen Jump line-up! And it's being drawn by Takeshi Obata, the artist of Hikaru no GoDeath Note, and Bakuman! The first chapter will run in a special early Saturday release of Weekly Shonen Jump on 01/11/14!

Aliens have invaded! Keiji Kiriya is one of many recruits strapped in battle armor called “Jackets,” and sent out to fight the aliens. But something strange is happening—Keiji dies, but keeps coming back to life! Each day he goes out to fight, dies, and then wakes up the next morning only to do it all over again. Seemingly doomed to repeat the same day over and over, everything changes when he gets a strange message.

Based on the novel All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka!

And look for the movie adaptation of the novel, Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise, coming this summer!

I wish Tsugumi was doing storyboards but since the story's already written out I suppose it isn't necessary.

My question to the editor is: How long do you think this series is going to be, 4-5 vol, 9-10 vol? Honestly I don't see it exceeding 10 because it's just one book, but hey never read it so I wouldn't know (still excited for the manga though).

I love the first impresions, it seems a really good piece. I love Obata's drawing style, I wish it'll be faithful to the novel. But the movie... Pfff... Who knows? Maybe it will be loyal too, but I think not *~* I'll prey for it. Even so, I'm pretty sure the manga will be a very valuable hit. Thanks for read and excuse my bad english xD
