CARDS: YU-GI-OH! Traps

Deck-Building Blocks: Shut Your Traps

You are watching a Duel, and one player has taken the lead. His Field is full, hers is empty. However, his self-assurance flickers when he sees that she has a Facedown card. He falters: is it a Spell or Trap? He attacks, but she only smirks: it’s a Trap after all, and before your eyes she changes from underdog to champion. This week, SJ Alpha while show you some easy-to-set, deadly-to-trigger Traps that can help you turn any duel around.

Mirrorly Accidental
Old and lethal, Mirror Force is the terror to all that use brute force. It’s as simple as it is deadly: When your opponent attacks, it destroys all his Attack-position monsters. No costs, no questions, no mercy.

The Bigger They Are…
…the more stitches you need when they fall on you. Magic Cylinder lets you negate a monster’s attack and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK. Or, if you’d rather have more life, activate Draining Shield to increase your life points by the same amount instead.

Grease Some Palms
Bribery usually isn’t kosher, but it works! Counter Trap Dark Bribe lets you negate the activation of your opponent’s Spell or Trap. Sure, he gets to draw an extra card, but it’s really an offer he can’t refuse. (Seriously. He can’t.)

Honesty Enforced
Your opponent grinning? Use Trap Stun to negate all Trap Cards' Effects on the Field for the rest of the turn. Your opponent still grinning? Didn’t think so!

Other Cards:
Try baiting your opponent with these nasty little guys: Trap Hole, Solemn Judgment, Call of the Haunted, Torrential Tribute, Sakuretsu Armor, Zoma the Spirit, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, The Golden Apples, Hope for Escape and
Defense Draw.

Don't forget Bottomless Trap Hole, Metal Reflect Slime, and Pineapple Blast.

Pineapple blast is okay, but your opponent is still able to chose the monsters that are destroyed.
