Easy Zoom like YenPlus

What makes it possible to read YenPlus on a smaller screen is the way that it easily zooms to 100%. But it would be possible for SJalpha to leapfrog YenPlus and become the easiest online reader for smaller screens, other than GuidedView readers.

(1) The options menu right now is 2page and 1page. Add FullHeight and 100% options. FullHeight is the way it works now, 100% would start each page at 100% zoom.

(2) For zooming, hold the top edge of the page on screen, because you normally want to start at the top, and if the right edge gets to the edge of the display, hold it there. That keeps the top right hand corner of the page in view, which is where you normally want to start. The right edge will normally only kick in if 2page mode is picked.

Panning works OK ~ either on a mousepad or on a touchscreen.

Its zoom that is too much nuisance ~ too many clicks to get it where you want it, and as soon as you change the page, it goes away.

Imagine the following system:
If you tap the bottom of a panel, that goes to the bottom of the screen, the top of the screen stays in place, and everything zooms to suit. One touch, *exactly* the zoom you want.

How to do it? Instead of splitting the display in half vertically, right and left, split it in third. The outside thirds are page turns, like now, The middle third is the zoom control.

If you touch a spot in the middle third that is halfway down the page, you get 2x zoom. If you touch a spot that is 2/3 of the way down the page, you get 1.5x zoom. And since you can SEE the page, you can easily tell how much zoom you want.

That's when the page is full height. When the page is zoomed IN, then the middle third becomes a zoom OUT ... where you touch is where the current bottom of the display comes UP to.

Actually, not only would it be useful for a touchscreen, it would also be useful on a netbook.
