I disagree. The SH already have a swordsman, his name is Zoro.

I personally think it'll be Jinbei somewhere down the line, but before him, I doubt we'll have anybody new for a while. No promising characters. More likely is that there will be alliances forged between crews as opposed to new crew members.

How about the slave girl from the Fishman Island flashback? I can't remember her name but she seemed like she had enough history to make her one tough bug.
Personally I hope they don't add any more. 9 pirates are already hard to keep track of. 10 would take FOREVER to write about.

Well, so far the only likely choices are Jimbei and the decapitated samurai. However the samurai apparently has a kid, so he probably won't abandon his kid. And I don't think Jimbei will be the tenth straw hat, maybe the eleventh.

Yeah definitely not the Samurai, and DEFINITELY NOT aokiji, he may team up with them at some point but I would be surprised if they add aokiji cuz that might throw some kinks in the power balance of the big 3: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji. But we kinda already know that jimbei is gonna join the team it's just a matter of when.

actually i change my mind. maybe it really is going to be jimbei. who knows? i mean before i didn't think so because jimbei is on fishman island but maybe they'll meet up on another island along the way.

I think the new member should be a female straw hat. In my opinion I think it should be Margaret, or Marguerite, the blonde Amazon Lily warrior who healed Luffy after fighting Kuma. Reason why is because Luffy saved her from death, and Margaret helped him get away from other women who were messing with Luffy's rubbery skin and most importantly she spoke up to defend Luffy from being executed by Hancock. I think she would make a valuable crew member, and she could be a trio with Nami and Robin. But it's just an opinion.

I think that the next member will probably be someone unexpected i think it would be cool for it to be Aokiji since he kind of left the marines however i also agree withby blueninja777 that it should be a girl.

Thank you for supporting my opinion, by the way I accidentally spelled Margaret's name differently because there are two ways, Margaret or Marguerite. I also support your guess about Aokiji, since he left the marines and he is on the cover, drinking milk with the guys of Straw hat (don't know why Usopp and Franky weren't included) on the New Years Eve issue. But I still think he will probably be an ally to Luffy in the future like Jimbei and Law.
