Deep within the recesses of the Dueling Academy known as the Long Beach Convention Center in California, Konami held their historical 100th Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Tournament. Duelists from all over braved the stormy weather to test their worth against other top players.
Upon entering, the four Dueling superstars from all the Yu-Gi-Oh! series looked down and watched as over 4,000 participants prepared for the ultimate challenge!
Everyone who came and participated came away with some impressive goods, including this eye-popping game mat to commemorate the event!
Inside the convention center, Duelists whipped out their impressive collection of cards and checked out other collections for possible trades.
Yu-Gi-Oh's a serious business! You better bring your "cache" if you want to nab some rare, hard-to-find cards.
People from all over, including exotic locations such as Germany, Japan, and...St. Louis gathered together. Even Oshowatt and Pikachu stopped by to test their skills!
The best part about coming and participating in tournaments...meeting like-minded friends and having a great time!
But when it all comes down to it, everyone's here to play and win. Spectators watched their peers pull off miraculous combos, counterattacks, and comebacks!
There was even a featured match area where Duels were recorded for posterity. One thousand years from now, future Duelists will be studying these incredible matches!
At the end of the day, everyone knows that the heart of these tournaments lie in the original manga series created by Kazuki Takahashi Sensei. Elizabeth G., a very talented artist, was there displaying her awesome art of various Shonen Jump characters, including Dark Magician Girl!
