I agree to this very much indeed. I think it is one of the most logic conclusions considered his past. The only thing I can't see is if he's actually going to take the rinnegan for himself..?

I think the Sage himself was an Uzumaki. This would explain why, out of every ninja Tobi could have picked, he gave the rinnegan to Nagato. It's probably because he knows it originated from the Uzumakis and wanted to see how compatible it was with him. Naruto's power's might evolve even more and it might form on it's own.

The sage's sons and their decendents later formed the uchiha & the senju. The Senju & Uzumaki clans had a common ancestor. So the sage is the unintentional founder of the uchiha, senju and uzumaki clans.

i agree that naruto will get to know the bijus and their host. he's always been good at forming bonds and maybe he will learn something from these bonds
