Nice Luffy cover! By the looks of it, he’s been doing some mixed martial art fighting. And doing pretty well judging by his champion belt!
One Piece
by Eiichiro Oda
This new monster is cool! A giant toxic slime! Or what my ex-girlfriend calls me! Seriously, the blob is one of the great-underrated monsters in horror movie history (maybe because it can’t talk and doesn't have a face), but I’ve always been a fan, and this new addition to the One Piece monster list is wonderful! And he has a face! I think.
Barrage
by Kouhei Horikoshi
Off on a new adventure! No doubt we can expect to see some training, leveling up and heartfelt lessons learned! The new storyline is interesting so far, I look forward to seeing how it plays out.
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan
by Hiroshi Shiibashi
Great Nura chapter! A much-beloved character makes a dramatic return (and really cool entrance) in this chapter! And it looks as if the final battle between Nura and Seimei’s ready to begin!
Bleach
by Tite Kubo
The Soul Society is taking a beating! Despite all their power, they’re falling fast to the seemingly unstoppable power of the Vandenreich. And Kubo Sensei has come up with another amazing name—Stern Ritter “E” Bambietta Basterbine! Out of all the SJ titles, Bleach has the most interesting names!
Toriko
by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro
Damn, Toriko is a badass! I mean even more than normal. His fight against Granny Chiyo (the other Granny Chiyo) is really intense. And Shimabukuro Sensei's knack for drawing creepy bad guys is impressive. I’ve seen about a zillion bad guys in all my manga-reading, but his are extra-creepers.
Naruto
by Masashi Kishimoto
All manga have peaks and valleys and Naruto is peaking hardcore. This is as good a manga gets. And Kishimoto Sensei is doing a masterful job of weaving all the loose strings back into the main story thread. That being said, Naruto’s off next week so try to enjoy this chapter twice as much!\
