I'm excited to read the new SJ, and I don't mind the wait but I'm a little frustrated at the lack of communication. To anyone whose subscription is working: did you contact anyone at Viz?

I contacted customer service by e-mail on Monday night, basically whining and moaning 'cause I wasn't getting what I paid for. I went to bed angry. The next Alpha finally started working on the browser and I could read it, but the quality on a computer screen is bad. Tuesday passed and I still hadn't heard from customer service. I mentioned the lack of response on Twitter and somebody replied to me saying I'd hear from them the next day. It's Thursday and no answer from customer service and no way for me to read Alpha on my iPad.

If the problem is Apple, why didn't Viz submit the app for approval last week?! It's like they worked their behinds off on getting ready the one issue for this week and forgot everything else. I know I'm being mean here, but the thing is I'm not getting Alpha for free. I have a right to get what I paid for and I'm not getting it. Alpha on the website is bad. What's gonna happen next Monday or next week when the second issue is supposed to be out?! Are we gonna get blocked again because Apple is taking its sweet time approving an app that doesn't even sell pornographic materials? I don't want the Yu-Gi-Oh cards and I don't want a refund. I want to read Alpha on my iPad.

So no, Viz is not going to communicate with us because it's better to hide than confront the angry masses. From a customer service point of view that's a bad way of conducting business.

Sorry if this isn't the right place, but Im already a subscriber to the print version of SJ. But when I created my account it didn't ask for the code on the package to show I was a subscriber. What should I do?
