Shining Victories has come and gone, but if you’re looking to add a little extra spark to your Blue-Eyes White Dragon Deck, or any Dragon Deck really, you should check out the Rise of the True Dragons Structure Deck on July 8! It’s all about Summoning Level 7 and 8 Dragons, like Red-Eyes B. Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon, back from the Graveyard over and over again to create an eternal Dragon army!

The Spell Card that makes it all possible is Return of the Dragon Lords. Exclusive to the Rise of the True Dragons Structure Deck, Return of the Dragon Lords can Special Summon any Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard. Unlike cards like Swing of Memories or Silver’s Cry, there’s no “once per turn” limitations, you aren’t restricted to Summoning only Normal Monsters and the monster you bring back is permanent. In fact, it’s better than permanent because Return of the Dragon Lords has another effect after you’ve played it!

While Return of the Dragon Lords is in your Graveyard, any time one or more of your Dragon-Type monsters are destroyed, you can banish Return of the Dragon Lords to the Graveyard to prevent that destruction. This effect isn’t just for Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monsters; in fact, your Dragon doesn’t need to have a Level at all—this can protect Xyz Monsters as well! And it protects ALL of the Dragons that would be destroyed at the same time by cards like Raigeki or Dark Hole! That’s huge, especially if you’re working with Level 7 and 8 Dragons because keeping them on the field means that Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords can keep doing its thing.

Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords negates the effects of any monster that’s Special Summoned for a turn, unless that monster was Special Summoned from the Graveyard. You only get this ability while you control a Level 7 or 8 Dragon-Type monster, so keeping it on the field is paramount. This ability is devastating to nearly every Deck you’ll come across, but it’s especially powerful against Decks full of Pendulum Monsters where the monsters can’t even go to the Graveyard let alone be Summoned from the Graveyard!
